Polaris AXYS Bags - Not too bad this year!

Its a dash bag not windshield bag.

Those are the pictures I wanted to see as soon as this bag was advertised.

I think this is going to be a very convenient place for goggles.
Plus the windshield and bag always gets ripped off in the trees. :)

I wonder if the bag gets warm to thaw out goggles. The front goggle storage seems a litte tight. I could barely get an old set of 509 Sinisters in the storage are and still force the lid shut. I may wait and see what the aftermarket comes up with.

I believe I am going with Mountain addiction for the rear. That way I can run a bag or Jerry Can depending on the plan for the day or even both if I want.

It looks like this Polaris bag sits on top of the existing (built in) storage and should provide more than enough room for goggles and other things. And since it is positioned in the area shown, there should be enough heat to thaw out goggles and/or gloves very well =)

I've installed the low windshield bag and my observation is it may thaw a frozen set of goggles, but I don't think there will be enough heat and ventilation to DRY said goggles. If it can't dry a pair of frozen, sweaty goggles - it'll be pretty useless. I've ordered one of the older Pro under hood goggle warmers (works awesome for drying goggles) to see if I can modify it to work with the Axys.

That being said, I'll probably keep the windshield bag for an easy-access bag instead of my usual handlebar bag.

Take some photos of gatoraids or goggles inside that dash bag... just wondering what the actual volume of it is and how much you can cram in there. Assuming its 100% waterproof?

Looks like there is plenty of room , based on this image i found on another thread.

Good point on whether or not there is enough ventilation to actually dry out frozen goggles or gloves though!

I saw the Burandt labeled underseat bag on a sled today. It looks nice and water resistant too. I also like that it unzips on both sides. I will probably get one of those and the small bag that goes over the little compartment behind the windshield. I understand that it will warm goggles and gloves. That is about all that will fit in it though.

I've got the small tunnel bag where I will keep my extra QD belt and my emergency equipment. I also just ordered a windshield bag to make use of the heating function for an extra set of goggles for myself and the old lady. If there is room leftover in the tunnel bag for snacks/water, I'll use it. If not, I'll get a dash bag for those things.

You do realize the dash bag has no ventilation.......

Not only that but unless The bag is all mesh and very near the pipe there won't be any goggles getting dry.

Yah that is definitely a concern. I guess one cant have waterproof and ventilated at the same time . . . =(

My pro last year had a 1.5 cubic foot heated glovebox.

If i put dry gloves in there without being in a ziploc the steam off the pipe would soak them.

Goggles would be steamed up, and headsock's wet.

The goggle bag under hood and close to the can on the pro works well for goggle warming and drying.

I concluded that the heated compartment up top was great for keeping water bottles liquid.

Gloves and such in a ziploc were warm at least.

Sandwiches don't get frozen.

Timbre,
FYI, I ordered the Handlebar bag, Under seat bag, and a mid height windshield on the 2 for 1 deal last week in Anchorage.

Sorry to disagree, latest email I got and printed coupon for includes all accessories. I think I proved that by ordering the 2016 items I listed above with no argument from the dealer I ordered from. Think what you like. I will say there was an email earlier (August) that applied to 2015 and earlier accessories and did not require anything but a visit to the dealer for in stock items. The latest email requires you to print a coupon out to take to the dealer. Take it as you wish.

Any way you could post up a picture of the latest coupon that includes the 2016 accessories? I was at the dealer this week and they told me the coupon was basically worthless if you wanted 2016 accessories and went on to point out the stock #s that it was only good for, and they were all 2015 parts. I would LOVE to take another one in there that I can get 2016 accessories and return a few parts and get some things free =)

X2.
I would like to see this also. The latest email I had from Polaris about accessories was the one that just mentioned the 2015 stuff. And the coupon on the Polaris website says the same.

That's how I've been told as well, only '15 items for the "3 for 2" deal. Love to be proven wrong, all the accessories I want are for the Axys lol :face-icon-small-ton

I went to my dealer and he gave me a better deal off the 15 accessories than the promo..
He pointed out the the promo was at Retail pricing!!!!
Dealer gave me a better discount off parts that I wanted, instead of the exclusions on the 2 for 3 promo.

Still waiting for my hard windshield bag and tunnel bag-
Was wondering.... For those that have the dash bag does it obstruct the view of the gauge or operation of it??

I got the Interaction display and wanted to be able to operate it with out having to reach around something /and to view it for the money spent.
