Polaris Avalanche beacon?

Does anybody know anything about these? I can't find any specs on it all. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm new to these beacons so one more question. Are analog and digital beacons compatible?

Analog and digital beacons still transmit the same signal. Difference is how they process the received signal. Analog runs straight through, doesn't do much processing or signal analysis. Digital will look at the signal and calculate arrival times, distance, direction, etc.

If you're new to beacons, get a digital. I have a Tracker DTS; easy to use, fast, and on the cheaper side.
