Polaris-Acquires-Timbersled

Congrats Timbersled , your giving some of us hope that this will evolve into what so few of us already know what it can be .

portgrinder , I'm running 150 plus and the widest part of the machine is the bark busters and still narrower than any sled made .

I can only imagine the possibilities... R&D will likely be accelerated now. Can't wait for 2020...!

For those to dabble with the stock market now might be a good time to do some investing. I remember Polaris stock used to be 25$ a share its now @ 140$, over the past 5 years its gone up n up n up. PII is the symbol if anyone is interested...

MN to be legal to ride snowbikes ?

Wonder if Polaris will push/change the law to legalize snowbiking in Minnesota. With the new law past this year snowbikes or other after market track vehicles can not operate on snowmobile trails. Since Polaris is MN home based. Maybe Tom K will have some input or more info on this since this new law affected him and other snowbikers like myself in Minnesota.

I gotta say that is such a crappy situation over there. Are you guys just riding anyways and saying to hell with the law or did people actually hang it up? It would be hard for me to respect blind stupidity like that.

Can this survey posted here earlier have something to do with Polaris interest to buy Timbersled?
see link http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=390811

Someone wanted to identify the potential of the future snow bike market.
The survey was designed to obtain information from the real snow bike users, sled or dirt bike riders and was conducted in late January 2015
If my theory is true, the plan from Polaris to buy Timbersled was initiated just a few months ago?

We really didn't even get a chance to even try to break the law. We had no rideable snow the entire year. Worst year ever. I'm definitely hoping this new move by Polaris can help. Can't sell any in mn until this law changes.

Here's a question , whom do you think voted and passed this ?

Here's another , some states have a width restriction on trails so how do the guys with those side by sides deal with that ?

One more question for the Minnesota peeps , do or does any one of the two manufactures in your state represent you ? ...........Why would they ?

Hey guys, here's some clarification. This is an exciting and giant leap forward for the sport and everyone involved. Timbersled will remain Timbersled. Timbersled's relentless efforts for quality and innovation remain in house. Timbersled will remain in Sand Point, Id. Much like the relationship with Klim, the brand, name, manufacturing, quality, innovation and development remains Timbersled Products and remains in Sand Point. The huge kicker is now there is a 4.3 Billion dollar company behind us. Very very exciting and a huge boost for everyone.!

I would hope that would be the case, but I am sure it was and has been the other way around. I feel like the "big 4" helped to lobby against snow bike conversions in the first place. And now Polaris and TS are in bed together, you can imagine what that baby will look like. Polaris wouldn't have to fabricate too much to design a ground up snowbike. Using Timbersleds kit and building a simple engine cradle with a steering stem, add a set of forks, blow mold a plastic tank/seat combo and you have a bike that would be legal on MN and WI Trails. I did it this winter in my garage I have a 250lbs, 74 hp ground up "one ski snowmobile" that I can register for trail use because it is "originally manufactured for snow travel" I hope it does happen especially with a high hp 2 stroke.

It was quiet in our house last night, so I heard the rumble, but didn't really feel anything. But it shook things enough that our china cabinet was rattling. Pretty crazy stuff.
