I have a Polaris 800 NON VES engine that has been professionally rebuilt by Kevin at Phatties Super Shop(509 304 4591)Roslyn, WA. I have invested a considerable amount of money in this engine.
I had it put back together without the VES because I had two NON VES cyclinders. The VES cyclinders were ported and needed to be RE-NICD. I had a new crankshaft installed and several other new parts.
If you are serious about this engine feel free to call Kevin at the above phone number. My number is 509 260 0946 and I can talk to you about this motor, also. I am asking 2500.00 for the motor AS IS.
You will need to put a clutch, exhaust y-pipe, thermostat and housing, carburetors, oil pump, and temp sensor on this engine and it will run. The DET sensor and the temp sensor are not in the pictures.
We bench tested the compression and got 140 lbs. on both sides. It has ZERO miles on it since we put it all together and taped it up with protective tape. The engine was finished at 10:00 am, 5/04/2009. I am posting this right after getting back to my computer, where I can post pictures of it.
If interested please call me at 509 260 0946 and we can discuss any further questions you have. I don't spend a lot of time on the computer, so it would be to your advantage to call me on the phone. Thanks, Vern.
