I love it!
Fordman, you're not eligible to vote cuz you'll be off on vacation doin' who knows what
So, I called Cindy with lots of questions. Let me start by saying the conversation was very informative and enjoyable. I can tell she loves snowmobiling. An overall very nice lady to chat with.
What I learned:
Not many people ( myself included) have any idea how much effort it takes to put something like this together and make it run smooth. Our chat gave me a much bigger appreciation for her and the many volunteers. The time and experience it would take to make an event enjoyable as it was last year is WAY beyond my current skills.
My reason for calling her was to see if I could try and organize a low key, low dollar, type of event. I must admit, though, the motivation was mostly selfish: I Wanna Jump!! True, the camping, partying, watchin people race, etc. is all fun to me, but I wouldn't have been so eager to help if it weren't for the chance to jump.
But, after my talk with Cindy, I realized how much work they put into giving something that we all can enjoy, so I am offering to help as much as I can to make the event happen next year. ( I'm not much for the chief duties, but I'm not a bad indian) Hopefully next year, Cindy will have more time to be the chief again.
