Please take the avalanche airbag survey

done

Took two seconds. Two clicks.

I'm not an airbag owner so it told me to go buy one before I take the survey. LOL

Thank you for taking our survey, the rest of the questions only apply to residents of the United States who currently own an avalanche airbag.

I guess since I live in Canada my opinion on airbags is irrelevant. Lol.

SnowBigDeal,
Even though I dispise the Avy Bag, I took the survey. Voted no of course. Would like to see design limitations expressed with your product (like the type and quantity of snow they were designed for). Anyway, no more smack talk, let's save lives and good for you for making the effort. Thanks.

Why do you dispise the Avy bag, which one or all? This is a BCA poll not SnowBigDeal. I own an ABS and love it....hope I never need to deploy it but it's very comfortable.

I hope BCA listens to our feedback.

I wear a snowpulse; my wife has the new AviVest with the limited chest protection.

What I want is a TekVest level upperbody protection vest with intergrated Airbag.

He & backcountrybob feel that one who puts a pack on instantly degrades their thought processes to that of a primate, and goes charging invincably for the first avy terrain they can find... I (humbly of course:face-icon-small-ton) disagree :D

Took the survey, good to see more data being collected!
I WOULD love to have it explained to bag owners the limitations of what it can do for you & that it's not an invincibility badge... but I think most of us already know this.

Sitting at the bottom of a drainage, slide comes in from above you... not a chance it'll save you (VERY unlikely anyhow). Perhaps a few things like this would at least drive people to seek further education?

Really, that's primative thinking on their part. :face-icon-small-con

I do not know skibreeze, you'll have to talk with those 5 poor souls that lost their lives in Norway to see what their thinking process was to confirm your statement.

Because the only people who get caught are the ones with airbags??? Come ON man, take your hypothesis & think about the opposite for a second... it just doesn't make sense. YES, there are a few people who are dumb enough to think it will somehow make them impervious to slides... I'd say they're VERY much in the minority.

People make good decisions & stupid ones ALL the time... some with packs on, some without.

The packs didn't kill them, their decision making did.

Just shot them an email letting them know something was wrong, I was getting a blank page with "survey" on it as well.

This is best statement, An airbag is ADDED protection.... ADDED..... I've heard people say before that a beacon was just a body finder too. Well with that mentality who the hell would ride with them? People make decisions that could end their life all day everyday. They MAKE those decisions, the added protection of an airbag did not make me any more "stupid" to the conditions i was entering. Its like saying they shouldn't put AIR-BAGS in cars because it makes us less conscious to the dangers.... NO its ADDED protection.

If you have trouble with the survey, switch to IE or FF, they said Chrome & Safari were having troubles. I popped it up in IE & it worked.
