Please help my niece if you can

No change as of now. Yesterday was a pretty tough dayfor her. She was in a lot of pain. Doctors are still trying to fight the infections with stronger antibiotics befroe removing the lower portion of the lung. Just kind of waiting right now to see if anything happens.

Thank you again everyone. You've all been awesome throught this whole ordeal. My sister, mom and dad all say thank you as well. My sister is blown away that people that don't even know her care so much.

Chris, I like to think the brotherhood of sledders are a bit more humane than some, and like to take care of each other, but when it comes down to kids needing help, not too much can stand in our way.
Thoughts and prayers for Gracie & family :rose:

So true...! TTT for Gracie

I'll get a check out tomorrow. I don't even have the words to let you know how I feel... :brokenheart: I've got a 4 month old at home and I'm not sure how stong I'd be in your/her parents position. Gracie is in our thoughts and prayers.

Awesome news over the last couple of days.

The antibiotics are working and they are not gonna have to take the bottom part of her lung now. Yesterday Gracie got one of her chest tubes out. Today She got another one out and got off her ventilator. She is breathing 100% on her own now. Also got her cathider out and they are trying to ween her off some of the pain pills.

She sat up in bed today for the first time since October 5th. The doctors are amazed at the last two days. They are hoping she'll be home in 2-3 weeks and maybe back to school by mid December.

We haven't had any good new for a while so this was great. I would like to thank everyone again for all the donations and prayers you have given for Gracie. You have all been awesome.

So far my wife and I have raise about $4700 (about $1900 coming from snowest) for her. It should give my sister a little breathing room so she doesn't have to worry about the $$$ right away.

Thank you everyone. I never thought that when I joined a sled forum a couple years ago that I would find such a great group of people
