What is with all of the matching avatars with the drunk or passed out thing in the lounge chair?:confused::confused: Interested to know the story behind it.

it's funny how the guy behind this avatar is one reason why I lended out two beacons this weekend cause I wasn't going and a friend was and I told him better safe then sorry. I know I don't want to post here on Snowest that my friend died cause he had no beacon.

Mine is also Animal in honor of Dave, but a bit different one. I never met Dave, but from the stories shared about him this one caught my eye as what I would imagine him to be.:beer;

OK. That is all I needed to know. I was curious and now that has been satisfied. God Bless.

And no, we don't watch Muppets. Parker likes Ben 10, X-Men, etc...

WOW!! for someone who has supposably been around since 2001, surely you would have known this........

I would think anyone who was on before 2005 knew of Animal.
After that horrific weekend it was a top page discussion well into 2006.
And every year he has been honored and remembered by his friends and fellow
forum members from coast to coast.

I didn't start getting out into the main trunk of the forums until just a few years ago. And even then I mostly stayed in Colorado and FP. So I didn't know of the ordeal. I have read up on it and it is a truly sad thing. Just because I didn't know who a certain individual was who died in a tragic accident doesn't mean I wasn't a member. I just didn't read it. Up until this year I never visited the Utah forum and I very rarely visit the General forum. I visit there even less now that I'm not modding it.

Like I stated above, I didn't browse the entire site and utilize all the information that is out there. I still don't. I have the forums that I use alot and the ones that I visit occasionally and that is it. In the past, if it wasn't discussed or posted in the CO section I didn't read it. Since being a mod I have now started browsing more but I still favor certain forums. I don't frequent FP as much anymore and I don't frequent the Doo section much anymore. I meant no disrespect to Animal or his family, I was interested and Ron was nice enough to share the info with having the need to be negative about it. It is a very sad event and I feel for his family. It was because of a tragic accident like his, only it happened on Gravel Mountain in Grand Lake, Co that I opened my eyes and made the investments to protect myself in case of that situation. Last season was the first season that I have ridden with a beacon, probe, vest, ABS pack, SPOT and GPS. I don't want to leave my family and friends behind and I don't want to see anybody else leave theirs behind either.

See posts above.

PJ.........I'm glad you asked the question, I didn't the the whole story myself.
And since the Avalanche warnings are off the charts right now,I thought an Animal avatar was fitting.

and one more question, Is Animal Bowl on south skyline near the top of "North Fork" ??
