Take a good look at the avy report before you go riding.
At work today we had alot of natural and skier triggered slides, and some went big and right to ground.

I look at the Uinta report every Wednesday, saturday and sunday.

I check the ones that update daily a couple of times a week.

Not only great information on the snow pack but the weather forecast and snow reports are second to none!

I talked with one of the avy guys and was told that this recent snow is a tremendous blessing as it is heavy and enough to really smash down the rotted snow that has been on the ground for awhile. This recent snow should really provide a great base for the rest of the year, ONCE IT SETS UP. With that being said, avy danger is still high for the next while. Many slides have occurred naturally (which is good), but others have been human triggered (BAD!). Let's give Mother Nature a bit of time to provide us with a great base so that we can have a fun, safe season.

My I suggest subscribing for the UAC to email you the report every morning. Its laid out very well and informative. I read it regardless if I am riding that day or not. Check it out. Also, its helpful to have UAC's # programmed into your phone, and listen to it on the drive up.
