Play in axys steering

Yes, both leave a little to be desired in stock form.. although on my pro I was not aware there is a little bearing at the bottom of the most forward steering post that cause some play. I believe the axys has the same set up. I'd say check that to..

Couple other things.... if there is vertical slope in at your bars the top bushing may be upside down. There are a couple remedies out there that normally just delay the inevitable of buying the oft bushings.. do a little search, this has been covered on the pro chasis.. quite a bit..

side to side? I think they all have have some plays, but I don't know what kind dog play you feel on yours

After I replaced all 3 with the oft bushing's there is 0 side to side. It is positive now. if Polaris wasn't so worried about weight this is what they should have put to begin with.

File down the aluminum tubes that sit on the bolts. That will tighten up the slop. Lasts a long time too.

OFT bushings are NOT the answer. I have them on my sled. Yes they are installed correctly. They tightened up the slop initially, but in 400 miles the vertical slop has returned. I have about 1/8" movement up and down.

Buddy has experienced the same thing on his sled

The OFT bushings aren’t perfect for every sled but really an average.

If you make the mounting holes slightly oval. (Vertically)

Then you take out the slop.

Same as the happy face pro steering bushings. (Wish they were available for the axys)

Yes, up and down is harder to correct than side to side. Seems a shim of some sort is in order.

Yeah we still get the up/down movement with the OFT bushings- Yes have all 3 There is a factory stop on the vertical bar that your post ties to- and it's less that 1/4" movement up and down but still is there and very annoying... my 14 pro with the OFT bushings dosen't have that movement.. yes flipped them around and it still there.

how can we eliminate the vertical slop?

See above.

Works with the stock bushings also. (Plastic is easier to work with)
