So this weekend i took my 08 Dragon 800 out and it was running like crap.. Would pull 7900 to 8000 rpms after it was first fired up, then after a little while it would drop below 7000. Got back to home and noticed the oil tank was almost empty. So figured my oil pump is going or out of callibration. Thats that. But also i noticed that my air box shelf (where the air horn is on the hood where it comes down and meets the air box) is melted. The snow was about 2 feet deep. I have 2 cool side panel vents so i thought that would keep the hot air out. Anyone else had this problem with melting? The temp gauge never went above 127 the whole day.. I wouldn't think it running rich would make it hotter.. Do i just need more vents or what? Thanks in advance for any input.
