What is the best piston to toss in a 2018. I could be wrong but didn’t the 2018 have a oil groove on piston that’s prone to skirt damage and in 2020 went to forged. Is stock better and what year or something like wiseco better to go with.

Yes. But is there a better year of stock piston to ask for or just an 2018 replacement
I think you only have 2 years to pick from in order to have the piston with the slot in the skirt. Both 18 and 19 piston part numbers are the same for stock pistons. Can not use the piston from a 20 and 21 due to different fuel delivery.
