pipe or not?

k, here's a question....i currently own a 1M but am going to a m1000 this year. now i would do the usual mods...pipe y-pipe, airbox etc, but a buddy of mine says that getting a pipe for the M's is a waste of money...cant feel any more power. is he for real? or do i need to combine the pipe with a y-pipe or fuel controler or something to see power gains? any opinions?

On an m1000 if you add the pipe you will need the fuel controler. As for your buddy, he is wrong. The m's respond really well to pipes. The M8 loves the slp pipe set, and the M1000 loves the sw pipe. If I were doing it I would do the pipe y and can
