pine pass

Chetwynd Pine Valley Trial Blazers had our AGM last night. We are all looking forward to a good season. We did have some complaints from Trappers regarding vandalism to the 5 cabins in Silversands.

Whoever the idiots were, they rode their sleds over the roof of the cabin, broke into the food cache, left garbage everywhere. If anyone has any information regarding this CRIME please contact the local Chetwynd RCMP.

We are going to be setting up trail cams through out our trail system in hopes of catching anyone that disrespects our riding areas. These bunch of goofs are ruining it for other responsible sledders.

We also had a club member threatened last season by a unknown individual on the trail into Hassler after the Member told him to pick up all his lunch wrappers and garbage that he threw on the ground. Peer pressure goes along way to stopping this kind of behavior.

Same ole'

Same BS, some guys never grow up! We quit using the cook shack as it has been locked for a number of years. We've been using the the first cabin as you come in to start a fire and warm up, its been clean inside for the most part. That poor old stove/pipe sure has seen better days!

We stocked the 7km cabin with fire wood and cleaned it up last weekend. We also have placed a new cabin out Calazon way and stocked it with firewood. The parking lot out at Silversands has been leveled and we should have a fair bit more space to park for the season.

We have been trying to get a lease agreement with the Trappers out at 5 cabins so we can maintain and improve the buildings. But then this happens and we take 1 step forward and 5 back.

New memberships for our club are available at the Cat Shack.

Also the parking lot at 45 Hasler was plowed and made larger last season with the help of Xstrata Coal. We had people complain about how some sledders were parking. Please be respectful and park your vehicles in an orderly fashion. I guess some people think the parking lots are plowed and maintained just for them, well news flash that parking lot is voluntarily plowed by one of our Executive members for everyones enjoyment.

If you park like an idiot, you might just find a 10' high berm plowed around your vehicle when you get back from riding. That would be a bad end to a day having to spend a couple hours shoveling packed material just to get home.

what is the deal with getting a cabin put up in hassler. Is it an option or has there been an attempt this is something i would aswell as many others would be interested in helping out in.
Also has the cat shack put any speedworx super charger kits on i am very interested in trying one could be enough to get me to switch over

We have discussed this and it could happen if we get a group that wants it. It will also help to buy memberships this gives us the funding we need. We are also getting a cabin set up down Sukunka next summer.

I recommend everyone that sleds in the Chetwynd area visits us on Facebook under Pine Valley Trail Blazers. There are lots of discussions and you can give your input.

Brendon can answer your question regarding Speedworx super chargers.

Cheers

hassler

just got off the phone with a couple guys that went for a little tour in hassler today they said its ok for a road ride knee height snow they made it up to that first meadow and tore it all up and didnt attempt to go any further because there wasnt enough snow to hide the boulders in the drainage up to the pub sign so another couple weeks should be good to get in a little farther i would imagine!!!!

Hope the pass is going to get more soon. The Torpy already has 5 feet on top but I'm getting sick of the trail ride in! Pretty happy I already got 3 rides in though.

Well boys we tried to get to the powder king cabin on sat nov 23 and she was a bumpy trail. We only made it 6 miles up the trail that's where all the downed logs were 3ft-5ft in diameter and they were everywhere. There is at most 2 ft of snow 6 miles in. The trees and stumps and rocks just kept getting bigger.so we aborted and went to ride on the road of the power line where there is maybe 8" of snow.
