heading to Pine on the 15th and was hoping to get some good info from you guys or gals well be staying at the hayhurst bed and breakfast there will be 8 possibly 9 of us we are all seasoned riders avy trained ect.. love to climb hills and boondock..none of us have ever rode around pine so any info on resturants, bars, fuel ect.. are there any hotsprings to ride to, and sit in during the winter ?? any info would be helpful..
Thanks Todd

PS:might be intrested in hiring a local or a guide for a day to show us a round a little..

I'm sure someone will chime in but I'd talk to Hayhurst and some of his gang. They ride some pretty impressive iron and might take you into a few spots. There is a bar/restaurant at the corner in Pine and a hot springs up the road toward Featherville.

Have fun... the snow was amazing last weekend.

fall creek has a bar and food too no fuel, the only fuel is in pine about 1.5 miles from the place your staying and they open about 9 and close at 7 (sell hard A and beer). I ride the place a few times now and them and will be back from a 3 day UT ride on the 16 and could show you a few of the sites if nobody else steps up and yes the boys at the bb can help you out if your luck.

yes small town eating establishments. yes I think they sell 91 and you ride out at about 4300' and ride most at 7-8k just an fyi for clutching and fuel mapping. the place can get cool to -20 but runs 0-20 most of the time

Got company flying in that day, probably would be considered rude, to leave them standing at the airport, and go sledding. Sorry guys.

How long you going to be in Pine?

You need to get your priority's in order Wade

So a little more info on the hotsprings would be nice!! Are they open 24/7 during the winter? And were exactly are they?? Thanks

The only hot springs I know of, is right under the bridge, on the road from Pine to Featherville. It's just a hole in the river, that's hot, doubt there's any time it's closed.

Look at the map I showed you below. It's right where the two snowmobile trails come together at Elk Flats. That whole area is a thermal hot spot, lots of the cabins are heated by thermal water.

I also know there are other hot springs, I think there past Featherville, but you'd need a real local to tell you where there at. That kinda stuff is top secret around here.

Jim and Louise are great. I am sure Jim will show you around, guide if you want to call it that. He can ride! He also has a friend that could take you. Make sure you are equiped with shovel, beacon and probe. know how to use them.

The B&B is very nice. Has a hot tub and sauna (even a tanning bed). There is a hot springs but no need to leave the house. Bring your own snacks and drinks. The store and gas station is not always open. We brought our own fuel I would recomend that. Maybe refill once at the station when you are there. I think you can cook there if you want too as well (check with them.)
You will ride from the house. Featherville is by snowmobile for lunch, dinner?

One of the restraunts in the area is closed this year.

You should have a great time.:face-icon-small-hap

The resteraunt is open and so is the pizza place. You can order food from the bar and they will bring it to you. (in featherville)

The road past Featherville going over to fairfield is close in the winter for the elk feed. We have permits to get back there and go to the cabin, but you still can't go to the hot springs at Baumgarner. They give BIIIG Tickets!!:face-icon-small-ton

Does the room and board include a demo ride on the Ti turbo sleds?

Have Jim show you the dark side of the moon and purple snow. Would love to tell you where that is at but I was always blind folded on our way in. (wink)

Anyway..super cool place to ride..unfortunately quite a long trail ride up to the goods but worth it. Very vast riding...you can go a long long ways over hill and over dale.

Sledn The Trinities

I have a cabin about Half way between Featerville and Pine. I will be up there I think Wednesday Night, I can show you Thursday and Friday. I know alot of the Short Cuts to the Top but Like a couple of Guys said we have to Blind Fold you to Show you....Alot of Us don't like to show them..lol
