Well its official, my wife got the job in colorado springs and we will be moving next month.

Only really rode in rabbit ears area, so Im curious if pikes peak area is any good and where to go.

Possible looking for some new riding buddies in the area if people dont mind showing me around.

Thanks!

Pikes Peak area

Welcome to CS, CO. The local club is the Pikes Peak Highriders. I am the current president. We meet once a month thru the season at a local restaurant. We plan trips every two weeks. Local areas are Cottonwood Pass, Marshall Pass, and Ophir Creek. We go to Chama NW every year. Also Rabbits Ears and just got back from the Snowy Range . Out web site is pikespeakhighriders.com. The state org is Colorado Sled City on the web. Has local maps and club info under the Colorado Snowmobile Assn. Look us up when you get here. Mark 719-650-1232.

The pikes peak area is great if you have a convertible, the wife had her top down 3 days last week. If you want to snowmobile, be prepared to drive 3 or more hours to good areas.

maybe we can meet up sometime, dont know if i will get out there or not in time for spring riding.

I know you once called me the largest D-Bag on Snowest, but we could put our differences aside and grab a beer once you get here:face-icon-small-hap

I live just North of the Springs (basically around the Air Force Academy) and Skibreeze is right, be prepared for a drive to the riding areas...but coming from Omaha you are use to a drive I suspect:face-icon-small-win

Either way, we ride every weekend during the winter and there are quite a few from the area that do as well...so we can show you around to some of the spots if you wish.

What does the wife do and what kind of job will you be looking for out here?

I appreciate the kind remarks…internet bullying is bad…my apologies…lol<O:p</O:p

She works for Verizon and will take over one of the stores, I work in Civil Engineering and looking for something related to that field…If you know if anything I would appreciate the heads up.<O:p</O:p

Looking to buy a hold over 2013 and turbo it so hopefully I can hang with the big boys…2-3hrs isn’t bad considering most trips we take are 10-14hrs<O:p</O:p
