PID or No PID

Here's a picture that shows an abbreviated evolution of the gauge:

The circuit board and mount on the right is the one that was being tested in the Spring of 2015, which only worked with Arctic Cat. The display in the center is the one from this last season, with the adapter it required to charge. And the display on the right is the more or less final. The circuit board on the right was one of the units that was tested this last season (in the picture it has the Arctic Cat connector; the daughter card with the connector on it has a Polaris version). I'll be doing one final revision before that is final, but it won't be changing very much at all.

Very much so, although the display just shows the out of the transponder. The actual radio transponder is a separate piece of hardware that the display connects to wirelessly. It's been a bit of a background project lately, but I'm in the process of switching the microcontroller to something more up to date to speed up its development.

Awesome! I've been waiting patiently for you to get this done. Hopefully I can talk some of my riding partners into get this too. When it comes time to move the gauge to the next sled does the original gauge display the correct mileage?

The mileage is recorded in the gauge, so the original gauge will hAve the mikez from when it was removed.. That being said I can easily make a device that you plug into the diagnostic port that had button that eletronically adds miles to the oriGina gauge. Could set it up to add 10 miles for every press of the button.

The gauge system itself will allow you to add an offset so that it will display a certain milage. For example, if you set the offset to 1500 it will show 1500 miles plus whatever the gauge has recorded. The offset can be negative too for when you switch it to another vehicle.

Thanks, I think this is going to be an awesome product. I think that would be good for making the mileage accurate. The mileage would be my only concern when it comes time to resell the sled. I'll be checking in with you this fall.

Sent you a text to give you an idea how I did this. Lemme know if you have any problems or questions.
I started using my Garman base camp and it does OK- but not was well as a topo and it should. I have done the plan a ride- but didn't know you could download you recorded ride to it-
Thanks I will try it!
