Pictures of the inside of your garage/shop or trailer

Looks real good Jonce, that's what I've been thinking in my garage. Do you have any plans or did you just "wing it"?

How did you anchor the shelves to the ceiling joists?

Very nice job Jonce.

One thing our shop is missing is cabinet storage.

We bought a shop last fall and all it had was a dirt floor, 2 light bulbs, and one outlet. This is the finished product.

It used to have a big sliding door on the front, replaced with an overhead. The front door used to be on the right side of the building and moved around to where it is now.

We would like to add some sort of loft in the rafters for storage at some point, or maybe an attic so make it a little easier to heat since it has a tall ceiling. We need more storage on the walls as well.

Very nice jonce!

How big is your garage?

Garage is pretty small Robb. It's only 21' deep and 32' wide. If I ever build or move to another house, the garage will be a lot bigger as my first requirement.

Thanks, I had plans in my head but kind of winged it as I went along.

Anchoring - I used 3/8" or 1/2" threaded rod attaching the wall shelves to the ceiling joists every 6' to 8'. Sorry, not the best pics. I used a 2x4" between the ceiling joists and drilled a hole just big enough for the threaded rod to pass through it. I then used a couple fender washers and nuts to lock everything in place. I just tried going for the cleanest look but didn't want to jeopardize the limit of shelf weight.

Here's half of it. Going to re-vamp the whole thing this summer since it got trashed by renters. Can fit the car, truck and 4 sleds in it during 'storage mode'. Also have 2 rooms through the back for storage and future man cave extraordinaire hang out spot. Definitely nice to have some space again.

I've heard that spray foam insulation is pretty spendy stuff, but Id really like to put it in my pole barn Im building next summer (30 x 48 x 14).

Mind me asking how much your spray foam insulation ran you?

Thanks
