Pics of the yammapoo!!

very cool build, i love the 4 stroke power under boost, now whos up for a m chasis build next????? anyone?? keep the pics coming. thanks for sharing.

Hey guys, glade to see the crowd is pleased! We had some nice bean harvesting days through part of the weekend and yesterday so not alot of action on the build. It is once again raining though so hopefully I can knock out that steering later today. Got a few goodies coming in the BROWN truck today if ya know what I mean.;)

Hey guys, got most of the steering done today and yes the UPS guy showed up with half of my crap . I always forget it's not the drivers fault if somthing dont show up as I snatch one box out of his hands (sorry any UPS guys out there;)).

Steering is now swapped to the front side of the hoop and over the motor. As the angle of which the post attaches to the hoop I get more of a nitro/XP/IQR rotation of the bars which will take alittle getting use to. Gained some forward postioning for a more agressive stance on the sled as well. In a rush this morn I forgot the SD card for the camera so pics will come tomarrow evening. I really dont want to neglect any of my sleds this winter but if this performs as good as I hope it does, the apex will still be in excellent shape by the end of the winter;) (brother gets to rock or wreck the D8t:eek:). So pics tomarrow guys!

sounds like its gonna be a whole lotta fun... so now we got a yamadoo and a yamapoo.. now someone needs to build a yamacat!!

my steering got pushed forward even more as well, gettin over the airbox on mine. im wondering how aggresive this bad boy is gonna be comin down hill!

It can be done - lots of talented guys out there.......... I was given a peak at an M chassis Nytro turbo with 153 done in MN. Great craftsmanship and it looked very nicely done Not my sled but I was impressed by the build.

doin it up for the RX1 should be easy after doing this, the same motor basically, just less electronics!! oh yeah, and can we actually get some pics? ;)

Hey guys, here are a few quick pics of some progress from a few nights ago to give you an idea on the steering. As you can see the bars are now forward a bit from stock and place you over the motor nicely. They are way more forward than the apex. I will need to slice a 1" path in the dash to let the post come through.
Been harvesting when the sunshines so I'll be doin some overtime in the shop after work. Again, quick crappy pics. Better pics to come! Thanks guys!:D

I cant get over how well that motor sits in that chassis, looks like it was engineered from the factory with it!!!

you'd be amazed, the RX1 fit in mine amazingly well also, his looks to be fitting even better. the only real size difference in the RX1/apex motors vs a 800 twin is that the base width is the same, the 4 banger is just wide all the way the top...

if you ever come out to the bozeman area to ride, I want to check it out, have a yamaha transplant ride!

Ross! WTF are doing??? LMAO! Way to give yourself MORE work to do... and speaking of, I need you to do some stuff for me this fall too. On both the Apex and the Dragon. Gimme a ring or I'll see you in the office soon.
