Troy that was an exspensive get me unstuck, for both of us that day.
Double Ds I gave you a bad rating because of your comment about the most money going highest up the hill. I take it a bit personal because I put everything I have into a sport I cant afford and allot of the guys doing this I know are in the same boat. If I wreck in a chute I certainly cant afford a new sled and I have no spare so the season could be over for me depending on damages. The only thing that saves me is I do all my own work and I never seem to crash (knock on wood).
Im sory If I was i bit quick to react, those kind of comment always erk me wronge though. Ill tell ya what.... how bout I give you possitive points for havin the guts to call me on it in the middle of thread. I certainly would rather have friends than foes!!!
Summit X the cost of the chopper pop in the chutes has been anything from 300 to 500 but we are close to town on Boulder so that helps. Usually we use pullies and man power to get the sled over but if the chopper is there filming everyone will take full advantage of coarse!!! I have a deal with my buddy Josh that if one of us needs it we go halves on the bill, havent needed it yet though!!!
Josh Seddon up the monster.
So, I am curious. Everyone acts like the Monster is so tough, but I hear that a Stock XP went over. When was this?? I see Nytro Race Turbo's, M1200 Race Turbo's, etc. struggling to go over, but stock sleds are going over?? Something doesnt seem right.

Have to remember who was on the XP (Kyle Micku). Also it was fairly deep and had been well pounded by the turbo's before he went. Monster is not the baddest chute, but takes skill and guts to go up it.
i've never been to the monster... hoping to go this year at least once, but from what i've heard/seen in the vids it looks like in deep pow.. you need a good running turbo... after 10 or so turbo yami's make it out there looks to be paved highway up the gut as long as you can hold a line and hang on through the trenches. laird i agree with you on the money deal, our priorities go to riding... others go to cars... fancy houses and whatever else pleases them. if i wrecked my sled i would be F'kd! i have good insurance though but who knows how bad they would try and screw me when it came down to cuttin me a 20k+ check. looking forward to riding with ya when you come down this way!
