Pics of some Sick Climbs/Pulls/Chutes..etc.

both chutes are in the mccall area, central idaho... there are a quite a few more like the s-chute that have never been climbed down there too, i just dont have pics of them on my computer

So did JOP and Stray***** ever meet up and climb that chute in Troy?? I just spent 15 minutes reading this entire thread and no ending. It was like a good book that someone ripped the last few pages out of!!!

I would LOVE to see the video of the climbs. Anybody know what happened?

I think these are the pics your looking for Nicole! Hey Nicole, what would you say to showing me around Mccall and area's and helping me find some of these southern pulls?? Im up for a south of the boarder trip this season!

Double Ds I gave you a bad rating because of your comment about the most money going highest up the hill. I take it a bit personal because I put everything I have into a sport I cant afford and allot of the guys doing this I know are in the same boat. If I wreck in a chute I certainly cant afford a new sled and I have no spare so the season could be over for me depending on damages. The only thing that saves me is I do all my own work and I never seem to crash (knock on wood).

Im sory If I was i bit quick to react, those kind of comment always erk me wronge though. Ill tell ya what.... how bout I give you possitive points for havin the guts to call me on it in the middle of thread. I certainly would rather have friends than foes!!!:beer;

Summit X the cost of the chopper pop in the chutes has been anything from 300 to 500 but we are close to town on Boulder so that helps. Usually we use pullies and man power to get the sled over but if the chopper is there filming everyone will take full advantage of coarse!!! I have a deal with my buddy Josh that if one of us needs it we go halves on the bill, havent needed it yet though!!!

Thumbs up to yah Larid......

i've never been to the monster... hoping to go this year at least once, but from what i've heard/seen in the vids it looks like in deep pow.. you need a good running turbo... after 10 or so turbo yami's make it out there looks to be paved highway up the gut as long as you can hold a line and hang on through the trenches. laird i agree with you on the money deal, our priorities go to riding... others go to cars... fancy houses and whatever else pleases them. if i wrecked my sled i would be F'kd! i have good insurance though but who knows how bad they would try and screw me when it came down to cuttin me a 20k+ check. looking forward to riding with ya when you come down this way!

So, I am curious. Everyone acts like the Monster is so tough, but I hear that a Stock XP went over. When was this?? I see Nytro Race Turbo's, M1200 Race Turbo's, etc. struggling to go over, but stock sleds are going over?? Something doesnt seem right.

Have to remember who was on the XP (Kyle Micku). Also it was fairly deep and had been well pounded by the turbo's before he went. Monster is not the baddest chute, but takes skill and guts to go up it.

ever seen a stock xp try with 2+feet of pow? it doesnt even make it to the part and where it starts to get slim. takes some serious ponies.

I really respect that!! I think there are some who go where they do or even attempt it cause they don't care if they yard sale the sled!!

I don't care if Mr. McGoo (although he is light :) ) was riding it!! Stock XP versus Nytro Race Turbo with 174", there is no comparision!! XP should have not made it half way, tracks or not, if the chute is that nasty!!

Ya I totaly agree with what you said here, this is definatly how yamafest plays out every year. Monster in not the largest chute but it is a monster non the less and its rider thats puts you over the top. Thats what makes it so much fun every year. Ive really never even seen a badly damaged sled roll out of monster. All in all its just a long technical chute that is safe for anyone to poke at so everyone come climb it at Yamafest 2010. Everyone will cheer whether your on a two or four smoker and whether make it or not, the event is all smiles!!! The 3chutes to the sides are large enouph of a challenge to even be concerned about whether the Monster is really a big deal or not....
