Pics of Pro Build

I meant to take some on the snow pics to post, but I forgot my camera in the truck, and I doubt the photos would have been visible with the conditions like they were yesterday anyhow

Yeah sure you did...probably didn't want us to see it and become super jealous and steal it from you.:face-icon-small-win But seriously very sweet sled! Lets see some pics when u can get them up.

Finished (until I crash)

Got it all finished. Sled is running strong on 9-10 PSI of boost. Got the Skinz seat on and love it. Carl's sent some rear shocks valved for me and the turbo and it keeps the skis down pretty well. Modified the Float plate to hold less snow/ice. So far I couldn't be happier with this sled! Got a little fine tuning to do on the clutching and that's it.

I wasn't a fan of the looks of the Skinz seat but on your sled it looks really good. Did they do a custom cover for you? How do you like it? Was it worth it over the stock one?

Absolutely love that seat! It's short in length so I can throw my leg around behind it, narrow, so it doesn't get in the way, and grippy so you can lock onto it when needed. And yes, they did a custom cover to match the rest of the sled/parts.

have Skinz made any changes of the seat?, cause it looks much better on your sled then the seat on skinz homepage.

What turbo kit did you go with? How do you like the Exit up front with the Floats on skid? How loud is the tunnel dump exhaust?

I'm not sure if Skinz has done anything different with the seat as this is the first one of theirs that I have had. They did do a custom cover for me, to match the rest of the sled though, which plays into why it looks good on the sled.
As far as the Z-bros up front, they perform excellent. It is hard to compare them to my previous favorite setup, on last years sled. I had a 700 Dragon Turbo, with Timbersled front arms/spindles and Float Evol X's. That was by far the best handling Dragon, I have rode, but this chassis handles so much different it is hard to compare the front end components. I will say, I am stoked on the way the Z-Bros are performing though. One side note, I have always pulled the sway bar off on all my sleds. They valved the shocks so I could run with or without, and I started out with it off. Since, I put it back on, and surprisingly enough, have left it on. I really feel like it handles better in deep snow with it on, and obviously controls better in hard pack/trail. The Carl's/Fox rear set up seems to work very well. At 10 PSI, it definitely has a little more ski lift than possibly desired, but I am still tweaking shock settings, as that was one of the last things that I was able to get on. I think with the right adjustments, I can get rid of the overtransfer and keep the skis down a bit better.

Degss, sorry, but I already sold the stock seat.

It's a MtnFit Hoods headlight delete. Not sure exactly how much weight I saved, I was more concerned with putting cold air in the engine compartment and to the turbo intake. I'm sure it saved a couple lbs, and in addition, I was able to scrap the airbox and intake, with off set some of the weight of the turbo assembly.

How do you like the boondocker turbo. I haven't been able to ride mine yet.
Did you do any venting on the clutch, or intake area? I'm concerned about this, but havent pulled the trigger on a vent kit yet as I don't want to cover my wrap.

What are you using for headlight? What vent is that above the side panel strap?

Right now, I got no lights, but will prob add a helmet light soon. The vents are HRP, and I am prob going to add the side set soon as well, to get a little more air around the intake/turbo. The turbo is sweet, been running 8-10 PSI, finally got a clutch setup I like, and it rips. That said, I finally had my first issue yesterday, but I think it is a reed or injector issue, not motor or turbo.

So, I am going to post this in the Polaris Turbo section as well, but thought I'd see what opinions were on the stock end as well. Yesterday, after riding hard all day, I had one cylinder quit on me. The sled ran on one side (Mag) but I could not get the PTO side to fire. I have good compression on both sides, getting spark on both sides, but nothing from the PTO. It seemed like I was getting fuel on both sides, but I have not gotten into the sled yet, other than on the trail. I checked harnesses and all my electrics seemed ok. I did have an oil cap leak and had injector oil spill on the VR, and wire harnesses that are directly in front of the reservoir, but I can't imagine that that is the issue. I'm thinking possibly a bad injector, or a broken reed petal(s). Anyone got any suggestions/ideas. Thanks

Def check your reed petals. I have a friend here in utah with a non working turbo pro right now because of that issue.

Sled looks great Kestrel. I need to walk over and check it out. I figured you had something brewing in your garage.

I got the sled tore down last night, and sure enough, was missing about a 3/8" by 3/4" piece of one of my reed petals. That is the first failure I've had with the boyesens. Put the stock petals back on and it's back up and running again!
