Looks like an awesome build! That thing is gonna rip w/ a turbo. Who are you filming with this year?

what running boards are those? looking good! you will have to let us know how they work, and how well they grip your boots.

Those are the Skinz Airframe boards. 56 traction screws per side. No slipping off those bad boys, and no kicking snow off the boards. I built a set that was similar a couple years ago on a skidoo, and I can promise that once I figured in materials, and my time, there is no way I can build them for what SPG sells theirs for.

First off bro, what skid plate do you have? That looks a hella lot better than the polaris one I have and better coverage. Second its the end of January and you haven't had your sled on the snow yet? If its a show car fine bury your money in it, but if its a day to day driver get it out there and ride it turbo it later when the fedex truck shows up. Sick looking sled in the garage so get it on the snow and show it.

LOL. Oh no, trust me, the sled has been on the snow. I've got almost a thousand hard miles on it so far. Just been an ongoing build, as parts make it to production. The skid plate is Skinz, but I think I'm going to cut it down some. I have a feeling it's going to hold too much snow/ice in by the A-arm mounts

Very cool! Can't wait to see it go. What turbo?
Lol, dammit Rob, I was hoping you wouldn't see, and make me feel guilty about not going with Better Boards. You make a sweet product, that I have on other sleds, but I just had to give the SPG's a try. Anyhow, as for the Turbo, I pre-ordered a Silber kit, but someone decided that I needed to be on a BD setup, and now I have one of theirs showing up tomorrow I think. Either way, sled rips now, and I can only imagine what its gonna do with boost!

Yes, well F-Bomb (unintentionally incorrectly, yet humorously, mispelled as F-Boob in our last interaction/altercation) will be VERY surpirsed to hear that I, having questioned their practicality on the new sled, have ordered a brand new shiny set of Better Boards!

COBE footwell block off

I just installed the COBE footwell block off plate. Made a small modification to fit with the Airframe boards, and it fit in perfectly. After burning up one $180 belt already, I think that this should help a bunch. Install took less than 10 minutes. I will be riding this weekend, and will update when I have results on how it performs. COBE should have these available soon, if not already. Thanks to them for sending this out for me to try!

Sled looks great. You have a lot more ambition than I do. Mine is exactly like it left the showroom floor.

Again, it looks great.

Started putting on the Turbo last night. Got a bunch of wiring to do yet, but it's coming along well. I'll put up some pics once I get that finished.

Went up to Steamboat yesterday, and found about 3' of fresh blower. Unfortunately, it was still snowing hard, and visibility was about zero. Other than that, the sled performed great! I have a little low end bog with the turbo, but otherwise, it ran excellent. I should be able to get the bottom end cleaned up fairly easily. The Airframe boards are an extremely good upgrade, and keep your feet on the boards instead of slipping off. The other big thing I noticed was how well the COBE footwell block off plate worked. Previously, in snow like this, I had serious clutch slippage, and could see snow sitting in the pan below the clutches. Yesterday (seriously 3'+ of really light powder), no clutch slipping, and zero snow in the clutch side belly pan! This a very good addition to any pro, and extremely inexpensive, especially when taking into account the cost of Polaris belts!
I meant to take some on the snow pics to post, but I forgot my camera in the truck, and I doubt the photos would have been visible with the conditions like they were yesterday anyhow
