Pics of my fan cooled mod sled project

Well I've been working on this project on and off, mostly off for the last couple of years but decided it was time to finish it. Here's what I've got so far

Bulkhead is from a Mountain max but has been altered to rider forward. Gas tank is 3" forward and the bars are about 7" forward of a stock MM

144x16x2" track ported

Dropped and rolled chaincase with reverse

Custom bars

Phazer 500 motor Aeen pipe from an older Phazer with side exit and 38mm carbs

Custom tunnel

Skid was from an Rx1 turbo we got but came in a box full of parts. I think it is a Kmod rear but I grafted it onto a set of 141 Cat rails and used a Cat front arm with a Yami shock I had lying around so who knows. Has a ton of travel and seems to move quite smoothly

Custom light weight front end I built a while back but never used opn anything

Skis in the pics are not what I'm using I have some Mods that'll be going on there.

Left to do:
Some wiring although it is running now
Hood
Custom flattop high rise seat
Clutch guard
tuning and probably a bunch of other stuff as well
Mount the tach
I'd like to get some nicer front shocks for it

I haven't had it on the scales yet but it is SUPER light. I can lift the back with one hand and the front with 2 hands no problem. I had weighed all the parts as I was going and I figure it's about 300 right now dry. Should haul my 100 lb kid around pretty good I figure.

When I think of all the fun days I had on my Ol Phazer, they were good times, totally depended on your riding skill.

Yah I made the bars. I can make you a set but not for a month or 2 as I have to write an exam for work and really need to start studying. LOL

I haven't seen this thread for a while, kinda forgot about it. My kid has been riding the sled now for a few weekends. We were just in the process of getting the clutching dialed in and he dropped a cylinder. I think its just a ring cause there is no damage to the jugs. I will tear it down this week and see what's happening in there, otherwise its a riot. When he gets stuck which isn't too often cause the thing just tractors along it a piece of cake to get him going again. He put it into a ditch about 10 feet deep last week and I jumped on, my other buddy gave me a ski pull and it chewed its way out up a sidehill with about 3 feet of pow with my a$$ on it. I was surprised how well it did. All in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

As for the steering and tank move I don't need a front cooler cause it a fanner so I routed the new steering down where the cooler used to be in the MMax. Because I did a drop and rolll I now still have room to insert a bulkhead cooler if i put a liquid in there at some point.

i got a 92 phazer under the go!
-stock 500 =480
- 136 by 1.5'' camoplast track
-8 tooth extro's/fat boy rear springs
-dirtbike bars with 3'' riser
-polished tunnel
-new seat
sleds in pretty good condition for 16 years old,all black
needs plastic ski's and bushing, shim kit
do aaen pipes work good???

If you are needing a pipe the best 2 are either the PSI single or the AAen single. We have 2 of these Phazers and one with each type of pipe and they seem pretty well the same to me.
