Pics of first ride on Nytro with Impulse turbo kit

Those impulse kits are sweet looking! God that thing must spool quick! I just don't like the aluminum tank,(but I guess if it does the job!) Do they run the attitude box (pro-logic or whatever)? If so, keep us posted as to how it holds up.

I am running a Garrett GT2860RS turbo, it is capable of over 20 psi.

It will make over 20 but with very poor efficiancy, I wouldnt plan on runing it over 18 for very long it wont last. Oh and ken why would you not love to have a aluminum gas tank?

That looks clean! What are you doing for clutching and so on. What boost are you running right now?

Hope your buddy finds his sleds in one piece.

Thanks, I hope they find there sleds too, they just upped the reward for any info to $5000 if any body out there comes across anything. As far as clutching I am running supertips adjustable weights. I started with 42 grams near the heel of the arms and it has worked really well. Looking at past logs on the prologger I am running at about 8800 rpm at summit on average. I was only running 8 lbs of boost that day because I have been playing with my fuel controller watching the A/F ratio and logging runs. As soon as I get new A arms and get back on the snow I am going to start upping the boost.

Yeah, these turbos spool very quickly. Impulse is using the attitude control box, I have had good luck with it so far running at about 6000 feet. I think the aluminum tank is great, it places the fuel pump in the rear with a small check valve tank around the pump to keep fuel to the pump while going back down hills. Not to mention the larger fuel storage. With some minor plastic trimming the stock plastic fits right back in place to almost completly conceal the tank.

Yep, sounds right. I never saw 20lbs. of boost with my 2860. Of course we are at 11000-12000 feet. That is why a "little" 2871 is in it's place now.

Great looking kit...

Keep us filled in on how it performs. I'm sitting back and waiting to see everything pans out before I jump back to Yamaha next year.

It might make 20lbs but whats the use when your fuel control box only goes to 12lbs! Bwahahahahaha! Isn't Alpine using this same box? lol
