That was by far the most impressive spot that I've ever ridden. 2-3 feet of untouched powder all day.

Secret? That first picture is what we call Jackson's bowl. Seen a lot of damage on hidden rocks. The whole SL area is better than the ears most of the time.

SHHHH! I wasn't supposed to say where it was.:D

I didn't tag one rock or stump. It was very deep and we didn't get to drop down into the park as we started to run out of fuel. I definitely will go there again. We saw two small groups, one group didn't stay long as one poor fellow seized his motor and the other group couldn't make it to the trail on the right of the peak. Can't wait till Saturday and go again!

some awesome pics PJ....we dont have any snow left...it melted...its gone.....17 days ill be on the hill

oh I forgot.....sweet pics...I love riding when the trees are totally flocked with snow like that. Makes me feel like I'm sledding on a different planet.

Thats not secret. Backside of Sand Mtn. Right off the trail.

I was being sarcastic! It's a great place and nobody goes there. When RE/Buff Pass was full of people and flatlanders, parking was spilling over onto the highway, we had an empty parking lot and saw 8 or 10 other riders. The park had very few tracks and the snow was deep. How did your ride with Phatty go?

Good stuff PJ! I only rode their once and I even recognized that hill. lol

The secret is?

The untouched meadows behind the hill in the first picture are a blast, but it can get a little tricky getting to them if you have week riders in the group.
