Those pictures were taken in the Flathead Valley (Montana). My boss knows the guys in the pics. He said the passenger was or is a bioligist and the only thing he could do is crap his pants!!! He was armed with a shot gun too. I never got the whole story from him except he would shake his head and and say that that is the fish and game for ya.

I saw the article with pics in a rag a couple years back. If I remember right it was either Field and Stream or Outdoor Life. They were supposed to be releasing him when her turned on them. I think there was another ranger out of view that fired a shot chasing off the bear.
