Do you pack a bunch of gear or just a couple of lenses? I just bought a Canon 40D and it's pretty large, not sure how much stuff I want to carry in the pack. What kind of pack do you use?

Those kind of pics are why I'm getting started with the photo hobby. Awesome.

I stepped up to the 40d this year from the rebel it is an amazing camera. You can get by with one lense for sledding pics, the 70-200F4 is a great choice. If you want to do some scenic stuff you may want to carry a wider angle lense too. I don't, my pack is already big and heavy enough with my 40d and 100-400 inside it's case inside the pack. My first trip out...http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43257

those pics are awesome graham. ive been watching for years as you post pics on snowest. i shoot alot too when im oot and aboot.

anyways, i was wondering if you every shoot with a polarized filter? you said you use a uv. i love my polarized filter on bright sunny days. helps the shot from becoming blown out because the snow is so bright and brings out great blues on the sky.

Shot with a Sony A100; 18-200 Wide Angle Zoom, Circular Polarized Filter

As always,

WOW.

The camera is nice (own it), but it ain't the camera. L's are nice, but they still don't make the picture.

The guy behind the shutter; that's where it's all about. Thanks for sharing Graham
