Wouldn't a police officer have the same rights to question BHOle's authority as the military personnel who did? Both parties sware to uphold the laws of this country, so whats the distinction?

The FBI controls criminal backgrounds, and they will take away an agencys use of criminal checks if certain violations occur. This guy is more than stupid for even attempting to try to run Nobama's history.

The sad thing is with Nobama's background with his admitted drug use, associations, etc. he couldn't get hired in a law enforcement position anywhere in this country........and he is the commander in chief. That is just plain scary and sad.

Well Pilgrim, smoking weed and using cocaine are two completely different things when it comes to a background investigation. Any agency would be fools for hiring someone that has used hard drugs, and that is what our loser of a president did.

I'm not trying to attack you here, but what makes you think it is illegal? Sure it is against most (if not all) police department's policies. Everything compiled in a background check is public information. The system used just compiles that information in a national database which the Secret Service (among many other federal watchdogs) has access too and has "safeguards" built in place. Illegal no....against policy yes. Stupid as hell to do? Yes. I have made some mistakes working in LE, but nothing that blatantly stupid. Lets paint a target on yourself dude! Duh!

However, why the hell can't the public know a president's background....isn't he our employee? I'm not advocating what the cop did....this is a side note.
