Phazer turbo or SC questions.

Just wondering how these machines perform with either of these upgrades. I have heard with the gear reduction you dont see much more performance at all.

I am thinking of getting my wife a Phazer but she is a power hound and although the Hytro is easier to throw around than the Apex, its not a Phazer. Thats what she needs is something easy to throw around but i understand her need for power LOL. Pluss I can get awesome deals on Phazers right now. So whats the verdict??

We built SC Phazer, and it works great ,super fun to ride,,,,but,,,it blows out oil oil through the Crank vent and it's extremely frustrating. If we can get the oil issue figured,it's going to be a super fun machine, the other draw back is the intake noise is loud,,,we ran the intake out side the body for more consistant performance.

And my turbo phazer is awesome, Not sure where your going with the gear reduction but heck ya you notice the power. It keeps up/passes depends on the snow any 800's and gives the 1000's a run for there money. You might want to look into extending the track mines a 151 and still digs in at times due to its 14'' width. No blowing oil issues either.

I think the blowing oil is either a problem with the oil tank manufacture,or worse case,,,the rings can't handle the boost,,,what's weird is that it doesn't blow out the oil at full boost.

Has anyone tried to put a 15" wide track on one? Looked like it would be super tight but could be done. Also what shocks are you running? I like the clicker shocks on the trail sled (FX? I think). SO I wonder what would be cheaper to buy the trail sled and replace the track to a long one so I get the better shocks or get a mtn and replace its shocks with some sftermarket ones. For her next sled, ride is super super important.

I think before i buy though, I want to see what is realesed this year and might snowcheck something.

The widest track you can put in a phazer is a 14.5'' thats if you cut a 1/4'' inch off each side on your own. Tunnel wise it looks like a 15 would fit but in the bulkhead there isnt a chance. Shocks do need some attention but i dont think drastic enough to but the fx.

i have 07 phazer 144 1000miles FORSALE

one word tank top heavy i ride with a dude he rides like your wife he could not handle this tank then i rode it lets just say give me my rev back!!!

Wow your a real rocket scientist! Nice sales pitch there bud. First, you dont have a clue how my wife rides, she is actually a very good rider. She injured her back so I have to get her a sled that easier to throw around than her SUMMIT is for next season as well as rides nice. Say what you want but I know for a fact nothing rides as nice as a Yammy does stock. I have rode the Phazer I know what its like, my only draw back is the power she is used to the phazer doesnt have. I would get her an XP but I want to make sure she actually makes it back to the truck at the end of the day.

Yes the Nytro is light, but isnt as light as the Phazer is and it doesnt throw like a Phazer will for her light weight. Thats why the Nytro is not an option. If the sled was for me, then yes the Nytro would be the purchase made.

I have 3 phazers, one with MCX boost, fox floats, powderhounds, 153" track. This sled is the easiest sled to ride PERIOD. If you can't ride it, you don't need to get off the trails. Spend the time and learn how to ride. And yes, you can tell the difference between the stock 80 hp and the 150+ hp at 16 lbs:rolleyes:
No real problems with the MCX so far.

I think the blowing oil is either a problem with the oil tank manufacture,or worse case,,,the rings can't handle the boost,,,what's weird is that it doesn't blow out the oil at full boost.

i dont doubt its the tank linc probably no baffles in it like the stock one the bd apex kit does the same thing.

I think I've finally found the problem, there is a vent spigot on the valve cover and the hole inside the spigot is only 1mm in diameter!!! So after building a new larger diameter spigot, it turns out that there is a huge negative pressure at this spigot, and coupled with the massive positive pressure at the oil tank, there is no pulsing. So I built an inlet to the oil cap on the valve cover, then ran the positive pressure from the oil tank into the valve cover,,,now we have an equalizing pulse that doesn't build pressure.

Next step,,, take it for a ride and see if it works.

The SC phazer is an absolute howl to ride,it's super snappy, and fun to ride,,,but it will go through a liter or more of oil the way it is.
