PG vs Race Gas Turbo kit

good luck, I hope you have a good dealer[/QUOTE

Thanks, I am very lucky to have a couple of people in my area that have years of experience with Turbo's a dealer that has setup some and VOHK is also in my area. Plan to run a good fuel mixture and low boost to start, should be no problem dialing it in with the help I have here.

What you're talking about for fuel is WAY overkill... no reason to run that.

Just spend a few minutes talking to Erik or Vin about fuel & what you want at different boost levels. Keep in mind you can replace the high test paint thinner Erik runs in his concoction with race gas from Bandimere for less money since you're down in the chity... cheaper & better.

at 6 lbs the turbo isn't even awake yet, you can run minimum 8 lbs on pump around here, even on our crappy CO fuel, and mixing 50% av will get you to around 10 psi VERY conservatively. (my 11 runs 10 psi on pump)

Fueling down in the city though, no reason to use av, race fuel gives you more for less $$. Up by Erik, he's got less options so they get creative, but down there Bandimere has 112 cheaper than you can find av anywhere except Leadville right now. It's really tough to get av down there. (and actually, granby & Kremmling airports jacked their prices WAY up last year, so it sucks up here too now)

Whatever you get, you'll love it.

(btw... I thought of you a few days ago when I went past the Mexican restaraunt/ house of prostitution you recommended a few years ago at the snow show... it made for a hilarious night if nothing else... don't think the 509 guys thought it was as funny as Em & our crew did though!!!) Maybe next year I'll give it another try!

Lol, I've been to that Mexican place too. A Gallon of TT 111 in a five gallon can of 91 keeps me safe at 12 pounds at 10K+ on my 09 M8 with OVS RG setup. Couldn't see running much less than 10 pounds at our high elevations. Like you said, the adrenaline rush needs to fed and that's why you get a turbo! Boost is addictive, and you'll soon want more, so might as well get a RG setup and get have the flexibility later on. I know you Dave, you're going to want more.
