Performance ideas for 08 Chevy/GMC

I would like to hear from anyone that has real world experience on performance add ons for the new Chevy Silverado with the gas 6.0. I would like to increase the HP and torque. On my last truck I had the hypertech programmer which added a little.

Anyone out there running a programmer with this engine? If so, what type of increase did you experience? How about the intake kit? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

griz, i put an edge evolution programmer on my hemi and it worked great. 10 minutes to hook up and 4 power levels to choose from. Got mine for $375 in CDA. I know they have one for the 6.o chev too. Mine added 35 hp and 70 ft lbs on level 4. Combined with a cold air intake and exhaust it works well

i think it was flowmaster out in hayden. They were way cheaper than buying direct from edge.

I had a 05 6.0 Silverado. I did an AFE intake and a Superchip Flashpaq. HUGE difference. A little better fuel mileage but the biggest change was in the shift points. Gas mileage sucks though.

That's what my next truck is gonna have on it ... assuming my next truck is a brand new 6.0L 3/4-ton Chevy since they stopped making the 8.1L ...

Hey Sawyer, how did your fuel milage do with it? I am looking at the Edge, and the Bully Dog Tripple gas downloader. Sounds like the Edge might be better across the board and price too. Thanks, frog.

Here's a few shots of the new truck. I installed the 4" Iron Cross nerf bars, billet grille and bowtie, and the Edge Evolution programmer so far.
