pcv on turbo

anyone have any experience with, or heard of this new PC5 PTi for turbo applications. gonna put a turbo kit together for my 2010 polaris 800 and prob gonna run one with my kit. seems like a great tool for tuning. compatible with autotune and maps off boost and afr. comes with 3 bar TMAP sensor.
just wondering if anyone heard of it?

I talked to a guy at Cooke who was a rep for powercommander. He had a 12 pro with the areocharger kit, and was having runnability issues with the dobek box.
He said that once he gets his powercommander maps built for it, it will be a ripper.

When I mentioned my bd kit, he kind of snubbed me, something about tps control and whatnot. I let it go, as I wasn't the one trying to get my sled running.

would also like to know if anyone is running a pcv with turbo. i have the silber on a 12 pro love it but bottom end gets a little bubbly so im in the process of installing the pcv and would be nice to know others had good results!

I've installed the PCV on 5 sleds so far, and worked with a couple guys that ran it. I had it on 3 cat M8's, one on a Yamaha Phazer and one Dragon 800. I believe it is one of the best piggyback out there. I think the reason the turbo kit sellers dont use them is cost and the fact that you either have to carry a laptop to tune, or spend more money and buy the LCD, to get in field tuning. the benifit of the LCD not only tuning, but it also datalogs and you can display all the same things you can see on the laptop.
I think it is a better system for the custom homemade kits, as it lets you map the full fuel curve, unlike some of the more popular boxes.

PCVdoes not run extra injectors. For big boost, we run larger injectors and retune the map for them. no loss of bottom end if you use the correct size ( not too big ) and set it up properly. on the polaris, you can relocate the injector infront of the reeds, to keep them cooler. that is the one thing I found with the PCV is the tunability. not for everyone though, can get confusing when you have all those numbers to play with. Some are better off with only a few buttons they can push and only change the map 15-20%.

There are many ways to skin a cat, this is the tool I like to get the job done with!

thanks for the input guys got a BD kit for a price I couldnt say no to. so im gonna try the BD box and see how it works but still very interested in the PC5.

I dont believe the pcv is capable of running extra injectors, it would be a huge step in the right direction for them tho

Secondary Fuel Module

There is an add on module for the PCV that runs extra injectors. I just installed a Dakota Performance PCV system for M8 and M1000 on my M1000 and it comes with LCD, autotune, and secondary fuel module. Looking forward to trying it out this afternoon.

Soop let us know how she works, I like the PCV and if it can run the extra injectors, then I might like it even more! I really like how you can configure the boost map to have 51 cells. You can really fine tune the map with that much resolution.

I dont think it is running extra injectors but let us know.

unless they took the harness from a sportbike or something

Secondary module

Module plugs into PCV and has harness to go to extra injectors. Mapping is separate so you can fine tune your transition points. I like that the mapping is so fine tuneable and it has an Afr setup that will hold AFR at 12.3 at 80-100% throttle under boost Automatically no matter the map settings.

I just ordered one for my cfi-4. Figured I would pull this thread up instead of starting a new one.
