I am looking for a fuel map for my PCIII- i have installed the slp full pipe kit and the BDX intake and i know there has to be people out there that have tuned their stock fuel map with a controller to help the sled run better- i know i can run the sled at elevations above 3000' without problems but i live below that and would like to use the controller that i have purchased-anyone out there with a map i could use would be greatly appreciate and would pay for the map- thanks for the help!

SLP can't help you because they don't have a map that incorporates the BDX airbox yet, there was another place that was going to test that combination.

Hum, who was it? Someone must remember.

I'd like a map for that too. My BDX airbox is still in the box in my shop because I don't have one.

My M8 maps are still a few days out. I will post when they are ready. Just finished up the last of the M1000 maps tonight and have them available for Speedwerx various setups and SLP various setups. Will be working on M8 SLP full setup with BDX air intake first and then with stock intake, then Speedwerx setups.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Racinstation. My apologies for not remembering your name.

Yup, I need a map for a 09 M8 with the full SLP performance edition kit and a BDX airbox. Hopefully, that's what you are making?

Please let us know how the map compares to the kit with the SLP air inlet.

I have the SLP pipe kit with SLP intake. Ride at 2500' mostly and I also feel the motor can run better on the low end. Runs like a raped ape on the upper end. From a standing start I have a burble around 4300 that will carry further into the rpm's depending on how much you mash the flipper. cruising around 5000 and then go WOT the sled pulls hard and clean. From a standing start mashing the flipper and the motor has that burble...almost like a shudder of sorts that carries to about 4500 before it cleans up.

I run 44 lbs fuel pressure and have tried at 42 lbs and 48 lbs...shudder worse at 48 lbs so maybe to much fuel on the low end...didn't want to try less than 42.

I have the SLP intake. I have not tried the SLP clutching...MTX weights with the 40/36 and stock springs...didn't want to shim spider. Stock setup is 77g yel/wht 46/40 orange. Tried the SLP black/pink 120/340 to get the r's up.

Maybe the 46/40 is loading motor to quickly?

The other day took off the SLP kit and ran sled stock. No problems. Amazing the difference in the sled stock vs SLP kit except for the low end issue.

One other thing. I have a resonance that comes and goes. Really annoying. I've tried double springing the pipe and RTV on the springs but no help. When I removed the kit the other day I noticed that the flange on the exhaust tube of the can had a wear mark where it was rubbing on the metal rectangular piece on the sled. That may be where the resonance is coming from.

any help appreciated.

Sledbilly,
"The other day took off the SLP kit and ran sled stock. No problems. Amazing the difference in the sled stock vs SLP kit except for the low end issue."
Are you saying the new intake kit made the sled more responsive or what??

.

the entire kit (pipe,y,can, intake) made the sled run way better in mid/high range. noticeable difference from stock. issue I'm having is the resonance and low end shudder/burble I described in my post. I did not install the MTX weights and 40/36 helix that came with the kit but did try the SLP 120/310 and 120/340 drive springs to get the rpm's up and keep same engagement.

I ride at 2500' so the stock helix is the 46/40. One thing I haven't tried yet is the 40/36 helix. SLP suggested I stay with the 46/40 if I don't install the MTX weights (really don't want to shim the spider).

I understand the basics of clutching but not as well versed as some of you guys. correct me if i'm wrong but going with a lower angle helix start rate will slow the upshift thereby getting revs quicker....getting out of the burble faster. But from riding the sled it just feels like something with the motor...i'm not really sure what a lean or rich bog feels like.

So I took the sled back to stock and it runs fine. can't really tell if the SLP intake with stock pipe setup made any change.

going to try the kit again but this time start with the can only to see if that is where the resonance/burble comes from. then get the clutching figured out then reinstall the y and pipe.
