PCC CARBON FIBER PRO BODY PANELS

In really deep snow the rbc's are a hinderance. Stop and the sled will freeze down and they slush up the running boards. With airframes they are not needed. The only reason they would be nice, on a pro, is they are lacking enough cooler.

That's kinda how I feel...and with a carbon tunnel and a big u cooler there shouldn't be any issues...also I hit a rock with my edges last year in a side hill and took probably a half inch out of them sliding down it. It was a good idea for its day, but we ride sleds different than we did when the gen II and edge chassis were out.

I will be running a VanAmburg tunnel with a full U-Cooler with VEI's new open concept running boards this year so cooling issues and running board issues will both be non-issues.

As MH can confirm, i pretty much total a sled every year ..and if i havent broken a running board cooler yet, its rare... ;) haha.

they really are awesome to have and never an issue

Did your sleds even get out of the garage this season buddy?:face-icon-small-win

Got pictures or link?

I'm still a fan of RBC after having run them now for 13 years straight.
If I could plumb a Pro for RBC, I'd do it.

CO 2.0 are the side panels vented well? Is the hood head light delete? Stoked!

No, you have to cut in your own holes and cover with frog skin or vent of your choice. For all parts including fenders, dash, hood, side panels and all that they offer for the pro is around 4K. Like Scott, my Trump "sponshure" ship hasn't come though.

How do you go about cutting carbon fiber without it losing its edge/bond?

Not sure bout the pure carbon stuff, but I have a carbon/kevlar hood (like that throttle flapper) and I used a rotozip to cut it. WORKED WELL. A bit of frey was gently taken car of with a cigarette lighter.

THIS CARBON/KEVLAR STUFF IS DURABLE AS HECK!!!!!!!

Typically it should be ground or sanded to avoid any fraying. Any cutting tool with a sharp edge will grab and Frey the fiber which will eventually lead to other undesirable issues.

SWEET!!!!!
Check this out.

I assume that the champ hood is all one piece. That would be very cool with a way to hinge it open and some quick disconnects. The only thing I think would have be moved is putting the gauge somewhere else like on the handlebars or something. Does anyone make a handle bar bracket for the pro gauge.

I don't think you want the Champ hood on a mountain sled. While it is styled like the PRO bodywork, it is lower and wider with better aerodynamics for ice racing on the oval tracks and maybe a few for their drag sleds.
