Patrick Custom Carbon finally posted their CF PRO body panels with contact info for price and availability. If someone gets the scoop post it up for all to see. Or maybe he will see this post and reply.

That's insane that they are doing all pro rmk plastics! Not just the hood and side panels. Once a full cf tunnel is available I know when I'll be switching from my iqr to the pro.

Evans Marine has had the tunnels available for years.

IMO, get only the partial tunnel made and then use the 2013 running boards bonded to the CF tunnel assembly.

What I think would be super trick would be if someone were to do this CF tunnel, mod the 2013 Running boards to carry coolant in the outer edge (It's tubular I believe) and have a light weight double pass cooler on the tail with RB edges heated/giving up heat.... With the CF tunnel, snow would not stick and the running boards would be SUPER clean of ANY snow/ice buildup.

HMM...????

That's exactly my plan with the tunnel MH. I'm gonna do all CF with brads 910 next year with timbersled front and rear and evols. Stay tuned! I'd do it this year but I just did a new 800cfi engine with Indy bottom end and Fastrax porting with a boost-it controller and a neils pipe in my iqr.

...mod the 2013 Running boards to carry coolant in the outer edge...

I see you are a fan of having coolant running through the outer edges of the running boards...

Can you tell us why? is it to keep the boards clear of snow? Better Traction? etc?

Thanks

Andrew, I can't speak for MH, but I've always been a fan of it since my first 800 back in 2000.

Keeping the running boards warm with much less snow build-up was a great biproduct to the GenII and Edges when upgrading from the XLT that had a heat exchange on the BOTTOM of the running boards. They dragged on obstacles and they didn't really warm the boards at all.

My VE tunnel on my GenII has the RBC. LOVE IT.
Fabcraft still has an RBC option with their grated tunnel, I believe. LOVE that.

I'd like to see the stock Pro with coolant in the running board also. I think it would help just a little bit more.

The problem with running board cooling is getting the coolant from the motor/bulkhead area to the running board edge. Not saying it can't be done, just a little bit of a challenge. Would be nice though.

The easiest way I see is to feed RB Edge Coolers is to run the coolant thru from the thermostat to a convenient spot in the left upright spar, flowing down to the toe loop and into the RBC from the right RBC to either a U cooler or shortened stockers with the cross tie under the seat ( with the shortened stockers you would gain another 3/4"-1" track clearance, where you need OT most, and would be very conducive to a full CF tunnel with integrated fuel tank). Returning down the right RBC and up the upright spar to the reservoir. Pretty clean in theory at least.

What happens when you rip a running board off or along a tree?

I've been around a while and have caused or have seen more damage to a sled than I care to remember. I've yet to see the edge cooler fail that was not the result of a fully-totaled sled.

Sometimes things break because we've screwed up in our riding.... so nothing is beyond possibility.

I just don't see RBC's as an Achilles heel.

Jason,

You would just need to call Mitch at Evens.

There is no "Bolt on" tunnel avail for a particular model on the shelf as far as I know.

Hows that Bad Azz sled of yours this year??

The Pro carbon fiber hood is $750.00 and the right & left carbon fiber side panels are $475.00 each.

Haven't seen anything on their website yet except for the intro picture. No details on then yet.

I'd love to get one of everything from those guys...but the Donald Trump sponsorship hasn't come through yet.

Super-Moderating not paying well enough yet? Damn it! Too bad you can't charge photoshopping fees.

We are working on having all the images separated so you can see them better. That was how it was supposed to be. Web site people are like artists. Hope to have it done this week.

Thanks TJ

As MH can confirm, i pretty much total a sled every year ..and if i havent broken a running board cooler yet, its rare... ;) haha.

they really are awesome to have and never an issue
