PC V on our 900's

Can the orange and yellow wires remain un-used? Would a shunt resistor need to be used for a CFi 2 injector setup?

Would this be true with the Power Commander 5 with the autotune?

I would only be interested in the PC-V.... I would only be interested in a PC that has the ability to auto tune on occasion (I'm not a beliver in Full-Time (closed loop) function because there is NO lambda sensor that is compatible with the oil rich exhaust environment ... the reason that the plug is suppled with the PC-5.

Is this also the pinout for the PC-5??




This pinout is for the PC-3 on a 4 injector sled.
I never tried to use it on a 2 injector sled,and i`m not sure it will work.
But there is a PC-5, part# 19-004 for 2 injector sleds i think you can use.
I can help you with a wiring diagram on that if you want to try.
Auto tune will be a good help when you make a PC-5 map, and give you a good start on a map,but i belive you have to fine tune with egt`s.

yes thank you thomas for the help.

i think the pc v will wire up the same it has to it is working on the same sleds. i also think just hooking up 2 injectors will work.

i used a spare head light harness to make my connectors they have 12 wires just like you need for the 4 injector set up. I spliced right in to the wires with one harness and then put the other connector on the pc III then i also made another connector so i can run the sled with out the pc just plug it in and it jumps the injectors back together. i will try to take pics next time we have it apart.
 
looking at the pin-outs this is not going to be to hard just need to sit down and do it . the pc3 and pc5 use the same connector from a quick comparison. I can give you a pin-out locations once I am done and a base map. I will be base tuning it on the dyno.

Happy hour and others... Please make sure to let us know what year engine you are installing yours on and if it is a PC-5 or a PC-III and if you are using Autotune as well.

Ya that's what I got aem wide band with the pc-3 I no on mine with the rktek head my mag cyl. is lean. the pto looks good. so i went in to advanced map and am adding 4% fuel to injector 1 mag top and injector 3 mag bottom. it took some playin to find what injector was what.:D:D


hope next sat at ip can get it perfect.

any more news? i am really wanting to try this on my 975 have you installed your yet? i think i am just going to have to drop the $$ and do it. mine runs like crap.
 
the 900 project has my full attention wrecked another piston on the apex so she is getting put in the corner till this summer when we can figure out what the heck is going on, just went and picked up the crank for the 900 today and plan to get her fired up by the weekend. once I put a few miles on the 900 to make sure there is no problems I will install the pcv
 
just ordered mine yesterday. what the heck so we can compare notes. i am leaving my sled a 900 till i get it figured out so i will let the autotune build a map for it and see what happens. i will keep ya posted
 
i completely forgot about this..

would love to hear any progress on it as well...

plus anyone that does go with a PC-5, and want to sell their PC-3, let me know.i would be interested...would be for my 06 900...

on a side note...MH, keep me posted on what we talked about on the phone the other day ;)
 
I have about 300 miles on my 900 with the pcv and it is working good. getting it dialed in. but now i am going to change it back to a 975 and start all over.
