PC autotune options

so i'm running an slp single with their 0-3000 foot map in the PCV and it seems to be pig rich. constantly pukes black smoke and regularly spits flames when i shut it down after running it hard. i'm considering trying the autotune and letting it build a map for me. for those who have used the autotune how often do you let it build a map for you? just once and rip it? every time the conditions will be changing significantly? constantly?

it makes sense that if you let it build one base map you should be good for most conditions/times. although i could also see running the autotune constantly to allow it to make adjustments for every situation you find yourself in. am i missing something in either of these situations? i know i would have to replace the o2 sensor once a year +/- but that seems pretty cheap maintenance in my book. opinions? thanks

When you use the auto tune you have to hold consistant throttle positions based on rpm for 15-20 seconds at each rpm and tps setting to get an accurate reading on the afr sensor.

Maybe not 15-20 but ideal for best results. This was based on my 2010 dragon with autotune. Just my experience with auto tune.

a constant sustained throttle position could be difficult to maintain for certain rpms...

has anyone tried just running the autotune constantly?
