parking break issues

I disengaged my parking break and the cable/parking lever are loose. I'm pretty sure the parking break is still engaged but I'm not overly knowledgable about sleds. What sucks is I wanna go ride tonight but if my breaks still on well so much for that idea. If anyone would even call me that would be awesome. 780290016

OK, this is simple to deduce.

open your hood, grab ahold of the disc, and spin it back and forth. there is usually a little play in the drive train, so you will be able to tell if it is binding, or spinning freely.

The disc also floats on the jack shaft, being held with a key, so it should have some side to side motion between the pads; Even if it is just a tiny bit.

If you spin the disc, and it is binding between the pads, then you need to figure out why it is binding. You may have a bad cable.
