I got my "holy sh!t,am I ever glad those stupid lights were flashing " story to tell.
I rebuilt this motor with new liners, put the engine back together, and the engine ran great,,,but the knock box kept going off,so I did some searching to find the problem,a lot of searching,I thought maybe there was something wrong with the box, called Blair,he told me how set it up,which was the way I had it set up.Tried it again, the motor ran great, but the knock kept going off,so I kept searching, and it turned out that when the liners were put in the cylinders were decked too low and that info wasn't told to me by the machine shop, and I put a normal head gasket in,which explains why this thing turned on so good...So long story short,if I had handed the sled over without the warning of the parker Knock box,the motor would've scattered.
The Parker Knock Box works and it will and does save motors.
