Paragon secondary opinions and experiences?

I'm considering buy a Paragon for a good deal to run on an Apex....wondering how they work exactly and your experiences....likes or dislikes? Appreciate your feedback as I know nothing about it

paragon

just got done reading all the posts on this and want to give my input. I bought mine i belive in 04 or 05 for a rx1. Had it back 2 times for updates didnt cost anything. I did buy the wimpy spring and primary weights for duane to try too. I had over 5000 miles on the sled when i sold it. I loved the paragons shifting and smoothness. gained a much quicker holeshot and much better backshifting on the trail with the setup. only dissappointment was i could not keep my top end. Duane said i shouldnt have lost anything but was probally down 5 mph. Now the bad news. the last ride last year the wimpy spring blew on me. actually wrecked the beltgaurd, hood and really beat up the paragon. Actually rode it for 300 more miles without a spring in the primary to finish the trip!! didnt see any difference in performance either. Bottom line is if the clutch wasnt beaten up so bad id put it on my apex. just my 2 cents guys.

wow you were lucky ,,and I do agree when it worked it was great unfortunatly I couldnt keep up with the failure rate and ruining trips ,,just my 2 cents,, and I was able to sell mine from the last thread a month ago.. hope it goes well for the purchaser,, Im shure Dwane has it figured out by now.Im trying the Tied on the sled now if it works close to the paragon and stays together Ill be happy.
