Since the PAR kit comes with SLP pipe and PC5 just like SLPs package, and I wouldnt get SLPs clutching or the VFORCE reeds as in SLPs package.... Basically the only difference here is the cylinder heads?? Who's is better? PAR or SLP?

PARs price with their head, SLP pipe, and PC5 is a hundred and a half cheaper then SLPs head, pipe, intake and PC5

any thoughts on who's head performs better?? I also want my primary balanced, who's best to deal with as far as that goes...??

THANKS!

I think it will come down to mapping, SLP is rich from the factory.

PAR also will balance your primary...$40 I think???

Go PAR

From what I've researched the SLP head is a little over 12 on compression, the HP gains are only a 2-3 in the mid-range, most of the 14-15 HP gains from SLP are on the top. With the PAR head you can get compression ratios up to 13.6, 10-12 HP gains in the mid range and the next 2-4 on the top. I personally run a 13.1 PAR head and can say for a fact that the mid-range HP is where you'll notice it the most, especially boondocking int the trees and tight stuff, my vote is on PAR. Brad makes an awesome product.

can you run the 13.1 head at sea level(0-3000ft)?? and dont say add octane boost bc 98% of the bottles out there are **** and dont do nothing for boosting

i dont no what level your riding at but going from stock to 12.5 or slps youll see no difference

i have a friend running the 12.5 head over stock and another running slp and my sled is running a pcv and it kills them!! im running 144 and there on a 121, running on hard packed snow

now, if you boondocking and going with a bigger head then yes im sure youll see the hp gains, without any doubt!!

at the end of the day it depends what your doing with your sled!!

i personally think the best head is your stock head, cut down to size!!

where we are, we race!

also, the clutch balancing? do they need to be done on every sled? even if its brand new(2012)

The OP is from mt. With higher elevation you want a higher compression head. Id go with PAR he makes some pretty sick stuff

I wouldn't

I would say no!! I run the 13.1 and at least 1gal of race gas, my ethanol plug and baby it till 4000' feet or so. I unload around 1800'. These instructions are straight from Brad at PAR. I have a friend running a 13.1 and the timing was a bit off on his sled and even with 2 gals of race gas he would detonate once or twice on the trail if he got on it till we got to elevation. I would run it by Brad at PAR on what would need to be done to run at sea level with a 13.1 if it can even be done
