I am doing a little survey on P A heads . How many are running one and what compression ratio , are you running stock or aftermarket pipes or cans or any other mods and Elevation you ride at .

11 pro 13/1 ,slp pipe hps can, mtntk kit , TRS $28 kit ,Gen 4 fuel controller, pulling 64 BB at 3000 to 6000 elv.----need more snow to dial in .

14 pro rmk, par 12.5. Head, Tara alps t-stat,mds weights @ 68.3g, 120/340 primary,stock secondary 0-4500'. 91 she'll gas no problems at all.

'11 pro Indy Dan LR800, 12.5 PAR domes, 67.7grams (dalton adj.) at 2200', 62g at 6-8500', shell premium only, carls clutching (stock primary spring 140/330, gold/blk (170/240) sec. spring and 60-40-40 helix), stock exhaust.

I have 13.6 domes to put on in the next couple weeks along with terra alps tstat, PCV, and TIED secondary.

'13 pro: 8,000 & up, 13.6 head, hps can, 120/340 (black green) primary spring, purple/black secondary spring, mds weights empty (63g). Sled detonated once near parking lot, which is around 7000' ft. Now running 20% race gas with no problems.

13 pro with 13:6 domes, stock exhaust, blue and pink primary, black and purple secondary, 60 gram belly busters but am going to put 62's in this week. I ride 8,000 and above as well and had it detonate quite a bit down low. Haven't had a chance to get it to 10,000 ft. yet but hopefully this weekend.

You may want to bring up your octane a bit. Doesn't matter when you get up in elevation, but on the ride in, it will detonate with those domes.

Yea I might have too, im trying to avoid the whole race gas thing if I can. I think my weights are just too light and its revving up to fast. I put those weights in before I did the head. So im gonna try a different weight and run it in the uintas and see what happens!

You will find out that it won't pull them at 10,000 ft you will loose the snappy feel and not pull peak rpm I would guess about 7800 is all it will pull the reason they they hit the det is because they are really lean on mapping, you really need to add fuel especially in the mid range (been down this road) I would stay with your 60 bb just my .02 i

Yup, brad from par told me to run 1 gallon of 110 per tank with the 13.6 heads 8k and up.

It also sounds like the '13 are leaner than the 11's so more fuel mapping is required.

12 pro 155 with stock clutching in everything running par 13.6 from 6000-9500 hitting 8200 running ethonal 93 with eth plug. If I ran nonethenol it probably would bounce off my rev limiter then id need a little more weight. I weigh 175lbs.

Stock everything other than 28$ fix. Oiler turned up 2.55 turns.
I just give it the onion.

2011 pro rmk, mtnk fix kit, par 13-1 head, slp blue pink primary,64g belly busters, balance and machined primary, black purple secondary with stock helix, stock pipe, SLP can, 128 upgrade riding mostly 6000', only pulling 8000rpm, hooking up AFR gauge and boon docker box this week. Hit DET and limp mode without some race gas, hopefully some more fuel will help. Also runs warm with the 3'track,160deg on the trail not sure if that effects the DET or not.

Engine temps will definitely effect DET.

I put at 12.5:1 on a 13 Pro. Sea level to 3000+ feet. Running 90 Octane hit DET and limp mode multiple times. Bumped the octane to about 92-93 put it into limp mode a couple of times, but much better than the previous ride. Might try to put the stock head back on to see how much of a difference I notice.

11 155 13.6:1 5500'-8000' stock pipe/muffler, stock motor, carls clutch kit
i was origanaly told this would work with prem. pump that has now been changed to " 7000'-10000' " which is closer to what i found i had to run 20%race to keep it from DET

with race no problems / without DET city
the head works great just make sure you get the right elv. setup
let it snow

When mine was stock with just the head it never hit the det than I installed the mtntk kit and started getting det at low elevation ( below 3000 ) I believe a lot has to due with better fitting pistons . I also was getting a weird bog I chased last yr.
First ride this year with slp pipe and gen 4 I was hitting det again so I added more fuel and seems to help on top end , but my gen 4 quit working just as I was getting it dialed in . Dobeck sent a new one out right away but we have not had any snow so have not been able to test .
I am hoping that this one works better I really like the concept of the Gen 4 and being able to adjust on the fly . I will be putting one on my RZR if it performs .
I will be checking squish this week and checking out my pistons to see how they look after hitting det so many times in the past two years .

FWIW,

I'm running the PAR Ultimate Pro Combo with 13:1 head & suggested clutch kit on an '11 800 Pro 163 between 3000' - 7000' & experience detonation at lower elevations under low load/higher RPM conditions(trail riding at 6700 to 7200 RPM).

While the less than stellar clutching set-up has likely left some power on the table & may possibly be lending to the detonation issues, I'm still left with the opnion that the "bang for buck" was just not in this kit.

After installing RK Tek Direct Replacement pistons at the same time as the Ulitmate Pro Combo & then subsequently having ridden a machine equipped with the RK Tek Drop In kit, I have the feeling I made the wrong choice. To add, the general consensus appears to be that the SLP pipe provides marginal gains.

Once again, this is my opnion & others may have different results.

Good thoughts Merlin. Can't speak to anything besides the pipe, but I felt a noticeable difference on my 11 after adding the SLP single. A lot more than what the 12.5:1 head seamed to add. Ride mostly 0-3000, sometimes get up to the 5000 foot range, but rarely.

Hey BILTIT,what did dan say about changing your head? Will it void your warranty.I have one of his motors also, have a par head with 13.6 domes sitting in my shop, i have been thinking about putting it on.Old motor would hit det a lot running 91 with this head,i finally pulled bolt out of sensor and zip tied it up,no more problems.Checked my pistons wash a few times and they were perfect.
