I just purchased a P-85 to try on my 800R 159. I am just looking to see what others have used for both primary and secondary settups, what secondary was being used, tracK length, altitude and what sled. And also what you thought of the settup. thanks! :beer;

Hey Winter....did you buy the P-85 that BJ was selling?

68 gram MTX flyweights or the cheaper 65g or 62.5g lighting weights with either a 165-300 or 155-300 Team Ti Spring, you may find you need a higher finish on the spring.

You might to take a look at ThunderShifers Heavy Hitter Flyweight or PQ Power Tips for optimum tunability as well as your not sinking alot of $$$ finding the one perfect flyweight. When it comes to performance, adjustability is a good thing imo.

OT, what secondary/helix was this with? I have access to a bunch of different weights including Lightnings. I ride 3-6000 so probably 67.5 or 70's. ??

You can call SLP and they will have the tuning chart and and even a baseline to get you going.

this might help,.....

Steel fastner heads will weigh from 2.5g's to 6g's
Washers will weigh .5g's to3.5g's

I a good idea to get a small jewelers scale that wegh's up to 100g's. The scale helps document the exact weight going into each hole.

ran 64gr polaris weights and a almond round primary spring, left secondary alone and worked fine, was on a 06 rev. turns 8-8100 rpm with this setup.

Thanks for the info. Anything else other than bolting it on ? I have a good idea for weights and spring for 3000 to 6000

p85 & tss04

rkt 827. 120-340 primary spring, 68 gram slp mtx weights with a one gram rivet in the outside hole. 60-38, 60-40 helix with a red-black 140-240 secondary spring. works excellent with 19-43 gears.
