P-85 on a Mountain Max?

Does anyone know what if any mods to the clutch need to be done to put a P-85 on a Mt Max? Or is it only a certain p-85 clutch that will fit on it?

I know Hartman is the ones to talk to but I thought I would get some info before I call them.

Thanks, Rascal

IF THE TAPER IS THE SAME IT WILL WORK ONLY PROB IS THE BOLT

Any clutch from the Polaris fugi built engines will work. You should have a special washer machined to center the bolt in the hub bore of the clutch. Hartman will give you some O rings to kind of sort of accomplish that with their kit but it is a half-assed imo.

I had to machine (I actually just drilled it) the taper a bit on the last two Fuji P-85s I installed on my 700. I found a shoulder bushing at my local true value that I was able to modify for centering the OEM Yamaha clutch bolt. The bolt is shorter than I would like but it's held for the past 2000 miles or so.

What about the sheath angle for the belt? I can not remember the years but I know the XLT changed angles from like '94 to '95.

I can't answer that definitively, but the first clutch I installed was off a 93/94 580 (supposedly) and the second was new off ebay and was listed to fit 1985-2000 models with Fuji engines
