P-85 on 01 800 MC

can i run a polaris p85 on my mountain cat? its an 01 so it has a 30mm crank. Do they just go right on or would i have to get the taper changed?

i put one on my 97 ps 580 and it works awesome had to order a special bolt to fit my sled and clutch but it was only 8 bucks works way better than the 9 tower that was on it but it was way worn out

They fit right on with the exception of the bolt. I have a lathe, so I turned a seat into the clutch. I was not aware that there was a bolt avalible, good to know.

01 800 mtn cat

the 01 800 does have a 30mm taper but it has a longer or deeper taper to it so none of the other 30mm taper clutches will work including the p85 unless it is machined. If u need a new primary i would suggest using this cat part#0746-137 it fits a T660 turbo i am not sure which year but it has the new style fixed pins
