  • Polaris P-22 Ultimate Clutch Bolt - Engineered for Peak Performance

Elevate your Polaris Matryx 2022+ Boost or 9R with the ultimate P-22 clutch bolt.

Partnering with the industry-leading ARP Bolts, we've engineered a custom bolt that surpasses expectations. This isn't just a bolt; it's a performance upgrade, designed to maximize your snowmobile's performance potential.

Polaris has repeatedly recalled its product to address this issue, but the problem persists. We've taken the initiative to provide a permanent solution.

    Key Benefits:
    • Unmatched Strength: Crafted from superior ARP2000® alloy steel, this bolt is 46% stronger than stock, ensuring optimal clamp load and preventing component separation under extreme conditions.
    • Enhanced Durability: With a hardness level 32% higher than stock, this bolt is built to withstand the rigors of demanding riding.
    • Precision Engineering: Made in the USA from premium SDF or CHQ grade material, exceeding aircraft-grade standards.
    • Stress-Relieved Design: Shot peening removes stress risers, further enhancing the bolt's longevity and performance.
    • Safety: This is not just a performance part. Losing a clutch bolt in the backcountry can leave you stranded. Having a bulletproof design allows you to make it home after every ride.
    • Increased Clamp Load: Holds clutch components together in a solid, unmovable joint allowing for improved clutch performance.
Backed by Our Confidence:

-We're so confident in this product that we offer a 12-month warranty.**

Upgrade your Polaris today and experience the difference.

I think the quantity is in the hundreds with ARP for custom order; not too crazy considering the number of P-22s out there. I'm not sure what the number of P-22 failures is, but easily hundreds, and I wouldn't be surprised at thousands. An $80 clutch bolt seems like a no-brainer given how many issues we've seen. Even if it's just, say, one in three chance of the bolt holding up where the stock bolt fails, it pays for itself. Anyway, ARP makes the best stuff any of us are likely to touch. I've heard several smart people here say the bolt isn't the real problem, but hard to say that for sure until you see how something not subjected to Polaris's bean counters holds up... So here we go.

Yes- have 4 of the 9 R's here at my shop for suspension work, Dealer called and said update to their clutch bolt-and since these are last year's 9R's rail tips also-
Trying to convince owners just to bite the bill and get the ARP from F-N-I

The P-22 flaw is that the outer sheave is constantly slamming against the clutch bolt head when the sled is in operation. Add in the vibration & the force of holding the clutch on it is a lot to ask of a single bolt. The Carbonsled sheave connector eliminates the stress the outer sheave puts on the clutch bolt. Adding this ARP clutch bolt will help I imagine but still would not trust it by itself to do all the work.

I'm not the expert, but the one I know personally is all-in on the P-85 over the P-22, so I'm not expecting miracles. That said, it'll be interesting to see what shakes out here. Maybe it is a good band-aid; maybe it'll be somewhat reliable with this bolt and frequent checks and re-torquing. No way would I want a P-22 over a P-85, but if I had one, I'd probably try this bolt and see what happens. If nothing else, it might be worth using up the P-22 that came with the sled before investing in a P-85.

I just spoke with Fire n Ice on the phone. I am going with their bolt instead of titanium. They are a very awesome dudes! The customer service was over the top! Stoked to have companies actually care about there customers and don’t just want to sell you stuff. He actually un sold me on a product that I wanted to buy. Highly recommend Fire N ice to anyone

Yup, you have to dig around to find the warranty page, but (no surprise), the bolt is all that's covered. Give the replacement to a friend and suck it up and buy a P-85 if that goes. You have to send them the old one too (at your expense), but it's hard to imagine they'd refuse to cover it. I doubt they'll even take a close look, it's just to make sure they can't get scammed into giving bolts away.

Doesn’t ship until around February but could be interesting.

I dropped my 9r at the dealer yesterday for its 3rd warranty clutch work. Warranty runs out Monday lol.
