Over rev and DET

I rode lower elevation yesterday and hit the det sensor 3 times all when the track was under light load ( wheelies, hard turns ) Im pretty sure I am correct in assuming that over reving is the cause of the det? I turned the boost down to 5 psi and it ran fine but i noticed it was still hitting 8400 rms on the trail out

your thoughts

running straight AV @8500 and^^^

the sled will over rev and hit det faster than the gauge can read, happens everyonce in while to me when I am under boost in the mid range on and off the throttle, then wick it, it will bounce off the rev limiter. I am working on different weight setups to try and cure the problem.

^^ is pretty much what I was thinking. at 2500 ft less elevation the sled makes way more power @ 5 psi than it does @ 8psi up high.

Really makes me wonder how much HP It could make. its alredy a handfull

frisco... I dont think its the spring becuase after I dialed the boost back it was fine. never missed a beat after that

Rode 3500-7500 feet this last week end and had some of the same issues. Must have hit the det 30 times. It seems plenty rich been all over the board on the fuel settings. It seems to det when the throttle is pumped and back into it. This sucks when in the tight hills boom your stuck! It will also det when rolling the throttle fast to wo but not stabbing it. I can't find the sweet spot. If stabbing it to w/o it revs out and misses I am sur this is the rev limiter kicking in even though the tach doesn't read it. 10 # and 78 gr goes to 8-8100 and settles to 77-7900 rpm

rev limiter

rode last weekend in the snowys did the same thing a couple times really bad when pumping the throttle back and forth of course it only happens at the worst time when climing
do you guys think theres a lean spot when you let off and the turbo is coming down but there is not enough fuel going in talked to justin while we were out there he told me to add to the yb by half lite
2012 with all his clutching and 40 race and 60 percent 91 pump gas at 7 pounds
looking for any thoughts

Stockers do exactly the same thing as what you guys are describing. Just need to run a heel heavy weight and not the 10 series to load the motor better in the mid range. Or steeper initial angle on the helix, or both

Case in point. I weigh about 230 fresh out the shower. Since I've got my stocker + pa head dialed in for me, I've never seen the det light or had a stumble. A couple weeks ago a let 2 buddies ride my sled. One weighs about 180, one about 210. They both had hard det mode sets in their 1st pull up the hill! And the 2nd, and..... Well today, the guy that weighs about 210 had his wife with him. HIs and hers Pros. 2011, and 2012. Varies minor mods. Both rip with him on them. Wife weighs 120 soaking wet. Guess what, she cant run eithe rsled over half throttle without hitting the det in the midrange. Yes, they are that picky! Granted, he runs his sleds on the upper end of the rpm range, but you get the point. It is not a det issue from fuel. It is a clutching issue. You need to load the motor!
