Outerwears Prefilter?

Has anyone used Outerwears prefilter material for vents? How does it compare to the SLP prefilter material? Outerwears appears to be cheaper and claims to be water proof. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe that it is the same material. I have used as a cover on my airfilter on my diesel truck and had very good luck with. Flows air very well and don't have to worry about any water splashing on the filter when it rains buckets.
P.S. I have an aftermarket intake filter on the truck.

I used "Solar Screen" material. Basic screening material found at Lowe's and Home Depot. It's almost as small of mesh as the SLP material. Its not water proof, but its pretty damn water repellent.

i bought a 18" x 18" square of prefilter material and used 3M adhesive to cover my vents. Works great.
