Outboard question 2stroke>4 stroke

our two stroke 4 hp motor blew up and I just replaced it with a 4 stroke 7.5hp motor.

Q: can I run the premix two stroke gas through the 4 stroke engine or will that screw everything up?

where the boat is located (CA) is going to make it awfully difficult to get rid of 5 gallons of premix fuel.

and I don't mean always run premix, I just mean run out the 5 gallons of premix then use straight gas.

i vote no as well.....

probably not going to hurt the engine but may run crappy.....just pour it down the drain or on your neighbors lawn........pick the neighbor that still has the obama sign in their yard!!!

never done it in an outboard but ive taken 2 stroke premixed gas for my dirtbike and run it through my lawn mower, put it in my truck and then filled the rest of the tank, etc. never had a problem. maybe someone else has but i get rid of my gas if it sits longer than a couple months. i would just try to dilute it as much as possible and burn it through something

yep, throw it in the truck fill the tank adn you should be fine!

X2 or 3 or whatever, lol

Ya, a full tank of regular gas in your truck will not be harmed by a few gallons of premix:D

(wouldn't suggest putting it in a diesel truck tho if that's what you drive...)
