Something to keep in mind that might be hepfull along your trips is a set of tires chains for the rig. I'd have at least 3 chains, two for the rear and one for the front.

I see a pivot on the middle upright and pins on the back upright. Man power.
Rear Lower hole is for loading and unloading and upper hole is for transport.

We actually use a winch to lower and raise the top deck
, we were going to usehuman power but got
To heavy to do that , thought about hydraulics
But wanted to keep it simple .

so we have a winch mounted on the floor going up to the bottom of top deck to raise and lower the angle of the deck , it also can winch up a dead sled on the lower deck if needed.

took the old girl out to lunch today then to airport to see about avgas for the sleds

I saw a bus in the Bighorns that had a rack on top also to haul sleds.
It looked kind of top heavy but it seemed to work for them.

I've seen a few older pics of busses like that too . Not
Sure the new sleds would pass legal height minimum requirements on the roof anymore .

What is the powerplant? Can always go to a larger tire size to get more top speed.

Powered by a DT 360 , looking at bigger turbo and turning up pump . It has 5.13 gears but we are shopping for 4.11now . Probably get gears done before our first trip at Christmas .
